Eventually, about 3 years later, I started hearing girls saying how happy they are with their implants and how much better they feel with them. Then I heard them bragging about how fantastic their doctors were, and how easy the process was, so it became a serious consideration. A few months later, I decided on a doctor that a couple of ladies had spoken highly of, Dr. Ennis, in Destin Florida. I live near New Orleans, so it was a nearly 5 hour drive every time I went for an appointment. And then another 5 hours back home. But the traveling is worth it for the right doctor.
The doc and his team of nurses and assistants are fantastic. Everything went smoothly, and now I've only had my implants for 2 weeks, and I already love them even though they still have a long way to go before they are "settled in", per say. They already look good, but it takes at least a month before they start looking more natural, since the skin and muscles have to have time to stretch and adjust.
The first couple days are pretty rough, but by day 4 or 5, I was doing some not-to-strenuous activities, like go to the mall or grocery store. after the first week, most of the pain is subsided, but of course not all of it. Overall, I would recommend anyone who is even thinking about getting breast implants to do your research, find a great doctor that you trust (Dr. Ennis is FANTASTIC if you are willing to travel) and do a consultation. That should help you make a decision. I decided to book my surgery only a week or so after my consultation. I'm glad I did.

I can't sing enough praises of Dr. Ennis. Knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He made me feel comfortable through a process that I was very nervous about, and answered all of my questions every time I saw him. The surgery itself terrified me. I hadn't been under general anesthesia since I was a child, and now, 20 years later, I didn't know what to expect. But the doc and nurses reassured me of how safe the procedure is, which made me feel a bit better. Once everything was said and done, I realized it wasn't nearly as scary as I has imagined it would be. Everything went smoothly and I saw Dr. Ennis a week later for my post-op. He does generally keep things short and sweet, but he's a busy man, so as long as all of my questions were answered, I was fine with that. Always greeted me with a smile, always took good care of me. I am happy with my results, even though I won't know what the final look will be quite yet, since it will be another few weeks before the implants settle enough to really get an idea. The healing process is going smoothly and I can't wait to see what I look like in a month! Great doctor, great results. HIGHLY recommended. Worth travelling for!
