But I really wanted to post this so that it helps people have realistic expectations. A tummy tuck is not a cure all. You still have to work out, you still have to watch what you eat, and your stomach was still fluctuate. Lots of people post amazing pictures and that’s great but your stomach will not look like that every day for the rest of your life. You still have to work on your body. This is something I did not realize early in to the process.
I hope this helps and good luck to everyone! ?????
Almost one year
I learned that this tummy tuck is not a cure all. Not a Flat stomach guarantee. You have to do your part with diet and exercise if that is your goal. I have found that exercise-running specifically-is a lot easier now that my core muscles are sewn back together and in the right spot. And I have a lot more confidence and acceptance of my body. After the operation I decided that I was okay if I never lost weight again...then I started losing weight and now I’m just shy of my goal.
I’m also glad I posted this and could help other patients make a decision. If you are thinking about this procedure I think you should stop worrying about it and go for it!

Provider Review
I recently had a mommy makeover with lipo of flanks and breast lift with no implants. I had gone to another plastic surgeon and paid $190 for a consult. That dr was rude, very short with me even though i paid for his time, and made awful comments about breastfeeding and my body. So i was looking for a provider not associated with Unity Point. Thats how i found Dr Robbins. From the moment i walked in things were more personal and private and comfortable. Instead of one of those giant paper gown things I wore a comfortable robe while discussing my goals and concerns. When i met Dr Robbins he patiently listened without judegment and answered all my concerns. He was kind, understanding, respectful, and not in a rush at all! I thought about it and decided to book my surgery. They answered all my pre-op jittery phone calls very quickly and i was very nervous the day of surgery but they made me feel comfortable. And even puttinf thr IV in wasnt bad! I woke up to a kind and patient nurse. I had my drains removed a week later and Sarah was gentle, kind, even funny. Dr Robbins checked in and answered any questions. Well of course the next day I thought of more questions and they called me back and patiently answered all of them. At 10 days post op i had a leakage from an incision ans this time the physicians assistant who assisted on my surgery called me back! Again, patient, kind, understanding and knowledgable. Then Misty, the administrative assistant called me just to make sure i had received a timely phone call amd to check in with me. The level of personal attention, detail, and respect and understanding through every step of this journey has been unbelievable! My husband is a physician and has also been impressed with the level of care I have receieved. I am grateful that I found Dr Robbins and his excellent staff for this life changing procedure. He is quadruple board certified which also put me at ease. I would recommend him to anyone for any procedure!
