17-Hours Post DermaPen Treatment #2

Bracing myself for the pain I knew what to expect and although the discomfort was there, the pain wasn't too bad since I was only getting my cheeks and temples done (Bony areas like nosebridge and forehead felt like a tattoo sesh going on from the 1st session)

Same as before there was no PRP or serums added to treatment. Only a controlled-release skin-barrier-repair emulsion a.k.a. dermatitis cream was to be applied after gently washing with tepid/cool water. No actives allowed until 2 weeks-post.

Skin around nose looks like an orange peel, resembling jumbo pores. Hopefully that goes down as I don't remember having that the first time. Not as red for the 2nd day, either.

Overall redness appears less splotchy as I wasn't resisting as much, more even and concentrated on my upper cheek/temple area where the doctor went to town. Doctor passed each area around 3 times, back and forth. I have ice-pick, boxcar, and rolling scars.

Using natural light, tried to get as much shadow as possible to show textural concerns

Dermapen in conjunction with bi-monthly facials.....

It's been 9 months since my first dermapen treatment, all over the face. Prior to this I've had 1 subcision/filler treatment performed and more recently, “BDR” Facials with my local esthetician. The facials have been improving my overall skin tone and clarity however, my acne scarring although improved is still very textured--especially in sunlight (see picture)...which is probably the reason why I dislike the summertime but I digress...
Well, I'm super excited because next week I'm undertaking my 2nd Dermapen treatment, focusing on the cheeks. I was very pleased with the first outcome. The doc passed over the right side of my face much more aggressively than the left, leaving the right side smoother. Since many months have passed, I can say that although I reveled in the "instant" results from subcision/filler I preferred a more cost and time-effective route.
The first time at the 2 mm. needle length was incredibly painful, which I suspect was due to the minimal time the numbing cream was allowed to set prior to starting the procedure.
This time around I've also arranged my calendar so I have nowhere to be except home for 5 days because the redness persisted for that long.
Will update once treatment is complete!
