Dr. Shanley was great and I'm loving my results - huge improvement

Sharing my under eye filler journey to help with yours. It's been a journey alright! I am 45 yrs old and 'one day' I started noticing my heavy eye bags. It seems like they appeared overnight (I'm sure they didn't but aging is a funny thing, it just creeps up on you!). Over the past several months, my eye bags got worst. I contemplated getting under eye filler because the option felt less aggressive than surgery. My Harvard trained dermatologist is an expert and does cosmetic procedures 2 days out of the week. After many months of researching, I decided to take the leap and naturally went to my dermatologist for the procedure. This was my first experience with filler of any sorts so I was extremely nervous but under the care of my dermatologist, I felt in good hands. Long story short- I was unhappy with the results. Over my course treatment, she gave me two syringes of filler in total and my eyes honestly didn't look any different. I was bummed. I thought if my Harvard trained dermatologist couldn't help, who could? I did more research and hope that perhaps, someone else out there could help me. After making appointments with other Drs for a consult, I stumbled on Dr. Shanley. I saw her IG page which showcased patients results and I was hopeful. The best thing, her consultations were free so nothing to lose! I cancelled all my other consultations (they were at least $125 each which doesn't feel like a big deal to find someone great but adds up when you're Dr. 'shopping'). After my consult, she agreed that I should get my fillers dissolved and she can help me achieve better results with just 1 syringe total which I was happy about, less is more for me. I was very impressed with her. Knowledgeable, professional, efficient and very nice. I never felt rushed. I came in for my treatment and was absolutely in awe at how painless and fast the procedure was. Clearly, she has been doing this for a while and knew what she was doing. My first experience with my dermatologist was long and uncomfortable at times. I also sensed that she struggled with the procedure. Dr. Shanley was great and I'm loving my results- huge improvement. I'm currently having my follow ups with her so we could finesse the results (she is patient and truly cares that you're happy). I read that often, the treatment of tear troughs is a process, not a one and done visit. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Shanley to anyone who wants to improve their tear trough.
