5 weeks since dermabrasion.

These photos have no filter but are taken in poor lighting since I like to keep my office dark. Still I figured it’s a good representation of what people see from a normal distance.
There is barely any redness left. Pores are back to normal. You have to be really close to me to see any scarring. From a distance it’s not noticeable. When I look in the mirror now even under harsher lighting the scarring isn’t very noticeable. And this is coming from someone who at one point had “moderate to severe acne scarring”.
I’m feeling pretty good about myself so will post my whole face this time.

15 days since Dermabrasion/TCA peel

I put makeup on for the first time today and it covered most of the redness in my face.
Some rolling scarring is still noticeable on my right cheek (which has always been far worse than my left cheek). But it’s not nearly as bad. My left cheek has some boxcar scarring but no visible rolling scars anymore.
I really wish I had a before pic prior to any dermabrasion or chemical peels, but I don’t so it’s just my word. But the 3 dermabrasions have made a significant improvement in my skin. This 3rd one has finally smooth out the wavy texture on my left cheek. Right cheek still needs some work but it’s much better.
Will I ever do a 4th dermabrasion? Possibly here in a few years. I think I’ll constantly be on the quest for better skin but I’ve spent all of my adult life battling scarring, so I think I will always be looking to improve my complexion as far as scarring and preventing future wrinkles/aging.
In the meantime I will continue doing skin needling and home chemical peels for future scar improvement and anti aging.

11 days post dermabrasion/TCA peel

I am at the 11 day mark. My skin looks great. I’ll try to attach some pictures here in the next day or two.

It’s still red but that’s down a lot these past few days so it’s not that bad at all now, really with a bit of foundation it wouldn’t be noticeable. The final area around my mouth/chin has healed. A few days ago I was given the okay to use moisturizer. I‘ve also been using rose water spray after I washed my face followed by Elemis rose oil (rose is good for healing the skin), then a thick layer of moisturizer.

Some ice pick and boxcar scarring is showing through now (after 3 dermabrasions though they are pretty mild now) but so far no rolling scars and my overall texture looks smooth. The rolling scars are the ones I’ve always been concerned with since it gives a wavy, uneven appearance all over my face. So I think this 3rd dermabrasion may have finally been the one to fully smooth that out? But it’s still too early to tell final results.

My pores are large, and always have been. But they are no bigger now than they were prior to the dermabrasion. I’m pointing that out cause I know enlarged pores from dermabrasion is a concern.

This time around I healed so much quicker. It’s amazing actually. Even the lingering redness is already down a lot.
