After having my 2nd son, I knew our family was complete. As time went on after the delivery I felt more and more like something was wrong. It turns out my hymenal ring was pushed down during the delivery and the midwife erroneously partially stitched it to the entrance of my vagina. I also had torn more of my perineum which was much more apart now and had not been sewn back up. 6 weeks postpartum I couldn't have sex. I felt like my pelvic muscles were barely tethered together. Being young and sure my child bearing was over, I decided not to just accept this as my new normal which is how my OB brushed me off, suggesting lidocaine jelly (because the whole point of sex is to be numb?!) I sought out a specialist, a urogynocologist and thank a God I did! It took 3 hours under local and she reconnected my pelvic floor muscles, removed the hymenal tissue and scar tissue at the back wall of my vagina, brought that together as well as my perineum together once more. I'm healing well, taking it easy. I look forward to working out again and resuming my sex life :) I'm so glad I did this for myself and my husband.
