I had my eyebrows microbladed on Wednesday and when she finished and showed me, I noticed something wasn't quite right about the shape. I feel like the right side of the picture (my left eye) looks just fine, but on the left side the eyebrow starts lower on the eye and does a strange dip. My estetician said to wait until they heal and she will be able to tweak them at the touch up appointment. I'm scared as I'm not sure how she will be able to change the shape and I will end up with a bigger mess. My eyebrows were pretty good to start with just wanted a tad fuller and to correct a little sparseness. Now I have two different eyebrows!!

They look a little different but they may look a tad different after healing. I think she can fix them at your touch up appt.
May 16, 2017
Thanks I surely hope so. I knew it wouldn't be a problem adding strokes but subtracting strokes makes me worried. I hope you are enjoying your brows!
May 16, 2017
Not all of my strokes held so maybe yours will even out somewhat. I'm still on the fence about mine, lol.
May 16, 2017
Ugggh not what I wanted to hear.
May 16, 2017
How long ago did you do yours and what are you unsure of? I'm on day 6 and they are itchy and a little flaky now.
May 15, 2017
You will be surprised at how much they can tweak things at your follow up. I had to go for 3 total visits to get things just right. It all worked out in the end!
May 16, 2017
Thanks for the reassurance! Just in a bad place right now not knowing the end result
May 16, 2017
Also very glad you hat you got a happily ever after!
May 16, 2017
Im only on day 9 myself. The reason why I'm unsure is because my eyebrows were missing an inch on each side from over plucking. The lady did a good job. I just think they look dumb because of the color contrast at this point. Hopefully she can fill them in more on the touch up visit.
May 16, 2017
Okay, so you will be fine after touch up more than likely!
May 17, 2017
I had mine done last Friday, may 12th. I was scared because they looked dark and high but now they are looking more natural.
May 17, 2017
Glad to hear!

Hi, how are you doing? I just had mine done and they are very similar to yours. One of mine starts smaller at the inner portion then gets thick at the arch and it gives it a slight S curve. I'm dying over here! I had the same concern too... yes they can add strokes at the touch up but all I want to do is take away, so how is that going to be possible? I'm trying to stay hopeful but I'm really depressed.
May 25, 2017
Hi?
I know I'm completely freaked out. I don't want to go back because the damage is already done. I will probably ask for some money back and go elsewhere to get fixed. So upset by this. And when they show you before they start treatment you can't tell anything because there's tape and you look like a Neanderthal. So you trust them and end up looking like a Neanderthal clown.

Well at least I'm not the only one. :( I thought I was literally stupid for not being able to see through all the pencil marks and dots on my face. She asked me if I liked the placement and what else was I going to say? I should have said, "How the F do I know cuz I can't see s*** right now." Ugh, well... I freaked out and ended up opening my skin by rubbing peroxide on it and taking the pigment out that I didn't want with several "soaks" of Neosporin. Apparently petroleum based products fade tattoos and it worked for me thank goodness. But now my brows are half ink, half broken red skin. Praying it doesn't scar. I honestly don't know how this is going to end. I feel like such a fool.

I feel so bad for us! One other lady I talked to said that the only way to remove strokes can mpletelt is laser removal and then others say a saline solution. I'm paralyzed by fear and just sit here wondering what my next move will be. I wish I had never heard of this. Are you going back to your follow up?

Yes I'm going back for my follow up and I'm showing her my RealSelf account with all the pictures of what I'm going through and I'm basically going to tell her that if she doesn't fix it for free I'm putting her name on my page! I'm going to PRINT pictures of what I want and I'm going to watch her make every single stroke! But I'm honestly terrified. Why did I think cutting my f****** face was a good idea?! I ordered some Pixi Glow Tonic from Target and I'll be rubbing that on my brows. It's a safe level of glycolic acid that promotes cell turn over. You can use it once per day. Then I'm going to apply a prescription retinol called Tretinoin which not only fades the brows but also helps the hair grow. You can get it at a dermatologist. Just offering up the info because I know how much agony you're in right now. It helps me a little bit to have some kind of plan of action. Honestly if I had options for going to a different makeup artist I definitely would, but she's the best in my area and I'd have to drive out of state!!! *eyeroll* This is such a nightmare!
May 26, 2017
Thanks for the tips! I just want to wake up from this nightmare!

Sorry if I asked this already, but when is your touch up?

My touch up is scheduled for July 7th. I haven't updated my review because I'm sickened by everyone else getting great results and me being stuck with this [RS bleep]. I know that sounds mean but it's just truly how I feel. This is SO HARD. My brows are healing and it looks like I won't scar thank god. I don't understand why some of my strokes look great and then others it's like she got tired or drunk during my session and the strokes are too deep, too long and ended up healing to a gray color. I'm thinking those are the strokes I will get lasered off. It's "only" 3 or 4 strokes but that's actually a lot in eyebrow terms. So yeah........ I'm going to talk to her at my touch up but not sure if I'll go through with her actually cutting me open again. But she needs to see this [RS bleep] in person.

I hear ya and feel your pain. Hang in there! My appt is next week and I don't want to go back to her, but the girl won't return my calls!! So annoying!!

Hi
I called my lady and told her how unhappy I was and how I thought it would only be fair if she reimbursed 1/2 of my money and I wouldn't go to touch up. She refuses to work with me with any type of refund. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Why would anyone want to go back to somebody who did two completely different eyebrows????
User Avatar

Bad decision on her part. I'd definitely be posting reviews on FB, Google, Yelp, etc. I'm so sorry you couldn't even get a partial refund. What a mess!! What are you going to do now?
June 4, 2017
I dunno. I have been cnsulting with a more xperiencd brow artist and she is showing me how to fill them in to create a more balanced but fuller look. Have to use concealer too for the brow she did too low. So maybe down the road I will use her to correct. Yeh, what a dumb$$s on her part, not to work with me! I paid for the follow up in advance, do not to reimburse anything is ridiculous!!!

F*** man. That's just so crappy. I can't even. So what is your plan of action? I'm still in the freak out phase because now my effing brows are turning gray, ugh. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to get them removed or corrected, or both? Are you going to have the new artist fix you up?
June 5, 2017
Either deal with them and self correct with pencil or go to new artist and pay $$ again to get fixed. I can't believe she wouldn't work with me on any sort of refund. Bad business mistake on her part.

Hi
Do you like your end result? I'm still sad about doing this but I hope your gal was able to make you happy.

Here's my up to date pic. Still regret doing this!! Nothing about this crazy uneven shape is flattering. I reguse to go back to my gal for follow up and she wouldn't work with me on any sort of partial refund. So now I'm back to square one. Actually worse than square one because my eyebrows are jacked up. LOL! Glad to see others out there are having better luck!

Ugh sorry to hear that. Some are good, some are bad. Unfortunately it's like rolling a dice, one stroke can screw everything up. I hope you figure out something that makes you feel better!
June 7, 2017
Thanks so much! In time when I recover $ from the first go around.

Is the green color to highlight where she jacked you up? Your left one doesn't look too bad, just that arch on your right... ugh, me too!!! My face is still bonkers. Concealer for days.
June 9, 2017
Yep just to highlight the general shape. Hate looking in the mirror. Sorry you got a similar result. Booo!

I've been talking to some people and one girl said her brows faded completely in two years, which gives me some hope. Another girl said she only got touched up 3 times and they wouldn't allow her to go back because the scarring wouldn't hold pigment anymore! I'm almost three weeks out and did a light at-home glycolic acid peel which lightened some lines. I'm going to do the peels religiously this year and hopefully I can fade them faster.
June 10, 2017
That's what I was there thinking. Get regular glycolic acid facials. What home version do you use? Use retinol don't put sunscreen on them and hope they fade quicker. However when they lighten up won't that stick out even more?

There is a salline solution they can use to remove the ink immediately. Look it up.
June 9, 2017
They look pretty good to me. You have a nice shade at least. Some go too dark and look awful.
June 9, 2017
Thanks, the shade is not bad, just the crazy shape.
June 9, 2017
I've seen some very harsh-looking eyebrows, which I assume were microbladed. I understand being very sensitive about an imperfection. Just remember that most natural eyebrows are not identical. That might encourage you. Again, I think yours look good, but your own opinion is what counts the most.
June 11, 2017
Thanks!
June 9, 2017
I think the finished brows look great. I wish I had them.
June 9, 2017
The close up pic that I showed doesn't show the shape as well as the further back one does. They have a very strange shape to them. Wish I could un-do the day I did this
June 10, 2017
I think they look great! Natural brows are not perfectly even.
