Got Acceledent!

Forgot to add that....so tray 4/21 on Thursday! Yippee!

Tray 3 with attachments

Finally updating since the first two trays were pretty uneventful. W/o attachments invisalign would be a breeze. I went in 4 days ago to get my "buttons" on and the procedure wasn't too bad. I have 5(I think) on top and 4 on bottom but none on my front teeth which made me happy. The ortho asst filed them down a little but omg I don't know what I was thinking not having wax. My whole upper left cheek/gum is torn up. So needless to say, I went down on Saturday and bought out the rest of Walgreen's supply of ortho wax. Note to self: Take the advice of other experienced Invisaligners and don't think it won't happen to you! lol
Anyway, much better now. I have decided to temporarily give up red wine since I don't think I can whiten my teeth during this process. If I'm wrong, please correct me. I've taken up vodka/club soda instead. It still relaxes me but I do miss my red vino! I have been brushing and flossing after every meal and sipping (maybe chugging) my coffee through a straw in the morning. But I am so paranoid about staining my teeth and attachments etc so not sure what the alternative is. Gotta have my caffeine to wake up in the a.m and alcohol at night to chill out! haha. Here's a pic tonight with my trays out. If you see a clump on the upper left side or bottom right, it's a ball of wax. Sorry for the visual but it feels much better than without.

Finally straightening out my grill after the last...

Finally straightening out my grill after the last couple of years noticing a movement with my teeth. Everything about life over 40 is awesome but my teeth have given me a run for my money! Had a gum graft done on my lower three teeth. Outcome? Not as I expected but better than before. I'm convinced the gum graft moved my bottom teeth. I know what they looked like before and they looked different after I healed from that procedure. I'm a slow healer so the minor gum graft procedure I had done that most reviews on here say it took them a week or two to look and feel normal took me over a month and I looked like I got pummeled in a dark alley! I wouldn't recommend that procedure to anyone!
Fast forward 4 months and I don't like to smile. I've never felt like that but my teeth have definitely moved especially on the bottom. So after visiting a dentist and 3 orthos, I went with a local ortho that has a very good rep around my area and is a preferred provider. Everyone I know brings their kids there and I just felt comfortable with her. Picked up my first aligners today and they are in my mouth as I type!
So far- not the typical review of many I've read. No pain or discomfort, took them out to eat lunch, took them out to eat dinner and wine. Back in and so far so good. I will say that this routine will upset my usual evening. I love red wine and love it at night. I drank a glass and a half while making and eating dinner but no sipping on the couch like I'm used to. But I'm committed to doing this and figure if I'm going to spend the money, I'm going to do it right. It lit a fire under my a** after reading so many reviews on here, so Thank you!
