Coolsculpting Experience - Upper and Lower Abs and Outer Thighs
$2,800
I had Coolsculpting done on my upper abs (small applicator) and lower abs (large applicator) on Friday, July 10th. I also had my outer thighs done on June 29th and the total was $2,800.
My ab treatment started with the large applicator. I didn't find that the gel pad was a big deal at all. And when the applicator was put on I felt the tugging and pulling but it too wasn't bad. I really never felt the freezing when it began, don't know why but I was happy that overall it really wasn't painful. The massage after felt weird but not painful.
I also didn't think the gel pad was a big deal on the upper abs but when the small applicator was put on I definitely felt more pain especially a little right of center, like the machine was sucking up just a small section. It wasn't but that's what it felt like. When the freezing began I felt a relief from the pain and was thankful. The massaging of the upper abs was more tender especially in one small spot - the same spot that felt like it was getting more suction.
I put on my compression top before leaving the office. I called my husband on the way home and said that based on what I had experience thus far, I would definitely do it again. About six hours later the skin on my belly started to get tender and swollen and I really didn't want to apply any pressure to massage it. It felt like a bad sunburn. I wore my compression top to bed and didn't have any trouble sleeping except when turning over it felt like I had done a massive ab workout.
DAY 2
It was somewhat painful getting out of bed because I felt like I couldn't walk upright. The skin felt really tight like it didn't want to stretch. If you have ever had a c-section, it was the exact same pain but instead of just the one area down low it was also in the area up high. I am very swollen and look pregnant! Sitting down on the couch and standing back up was painful because I felt I had to walk hunched over until the skin or muscles or whatever stretched out. I continued to wear my compression top the entire day and night and still didn't have any issues sleeping except when turning over.
DAY 3
More of the same from day two. Still very swollen and starting to experience some itching but can't scratch my belly because it is very tender to the touch. The small area that felt like it got too much suction continues to be the most painful spot. I took off my compression top today and just my shirt touching that area is painful. I continue to feel the pain when going from sitting to standing. I can barely touch some areas of my belly so the massage part isn't going as well as I had hoped. I took a long hot bath in Epsom Salts to see if that will reduce the swelling. Today I also put Aloe on my stomach after my bath as well as Zim’s Max Freeze. The Max Freeze provides a cooling sensation but it isn’t taking away any of the pain or tenderness. Sleeping is still not a problem except when turning over. So far I have taken 2 Tylenol capsules daily since the procedure. I don’t know if they are providing any pain relief but I will continue to take them just in case they are doing something.
I am waiting for the clinic to email the before photos and will attach them when I receive them.

I had Coolsculpting done on my outer thighs on 6/29/15. I was a nervous wreck but can honestly say that the procedure was no big deal. Everything from the gel pack, to the actual cooling, and then the massage afterwards were virtually painless and I am a major wimp. The most grueling part for me was having to go to the bathroom shortly into the 2 hour cycle. I bought some Flexees (like Spank) and put them on immediately when I got home. The area is slightly tender to the touch/massage. Pulling the compression shorts on and off to go to the bathroom rubs on the somewhat sensitive areas and it's a little uncomfortable but not painful. I have a small bruise on my left thigh but nothing on my right. I don't wear the Flexees to bed and so far have not had any problems sleeping on my sides like I normally do. I am having my abs done next week though and I feel pretty confident that that will be a entirely different experience! The price noted above is for both the outer thighs and the upper/lower abs.

Oops, it should say Spanx not Spank - LOL.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Will you be having additional treatments? There's a post you might be interested in. It's got some information on what you can expect after the procedure. Please keep us updated and share pics, if you'd like.
At this time I do not have any plans for additional treatments on my outer thighs but will reevaluate once the 3 months is up. I am one week post the outer thigh CoolSculpting and everything has gone very smoothly. On day 4 I had some itching but it wasn't maddening like a mosquito bite and I was able to scratch it to make the itch go away (it wasn't deep in the tissue like I have read happens in the abdomen area). So far, so good. Just hoping to see some great results in the next few months :)
I will be having my abs done this coming Friday. 1 small applicator on the upper abs and 1 large applicator on the lower abs. I am quite nervous about the healing in the stomach area as it seems quite a few people report having substantial pain. I will start a new topic once I have the abs done so that anyone interested can follow my experience with that area as well.
Pictures....the clinic I went to said I could get the "befores" emailed to me so I will ask to get them when I go back later this week.

Would you mind telling me which clinic you went to? I live in Denver and I'm considering coolsculpting...it sounds like you've had a good experience!
