Explant Booked and scared
$7,300
I went to a consult last week with Dr. Linda Haung. Between seeing some results form this site and other articles i have found i decided to go with her. Im booked for June 19th. I am so scared of what im going to look like after and getting put under. Shes going to be going threw the same scars the arerola like i did when i got my ba. Im not 100% happy with my scars and would like her to fix them and hope she can remove a little skin so i wont be too saggy after the expant. I also went with her becaues shes going to be taking out all the scar tissue as well. I am so anxious and scared all these emotions im not sure how to deal with them right now. I wish i never got implants in the first place. Im 31 and hope my skin will go back i had hardly a B before my ba, i dont care how small i am i just want them to look somewhat normal.

Getting more used to the idea
I just went to my second consultation. Everything seemed great with this doctor but she was mentioning she would cauterize the capsule and not en bloc it because
that's the old way to do so. I this true??

First Consultation down.......
So i just went to my first consultation and it didn't help much. He was very nice man and explained everything but also kept telling me i should keep my implants because they weren't harmful to me and my last doctor did an amazing job. He didn't really seem on my side. I also felt like he talked more about keeping them or sizing down than anything else. I was quoted a little over $5,000. I guess it didn't make me feel any better with what I'm leaning towards. I'm suppose I'm on the hunt for another doctor.

I was in the same boat after my first consultation. I've seen 3 doctors since and you can get a qualified and supportive doctor for much less. They all have different procedures, so I think you just have to trust your gut and their qualifications.
That seems like a lot for a simple removal. Do hunt for another physician--one who shares you desire to be whole and healthy. Thanks for sharing and God Bless..
For that kind of money you could take a nice vacation here in Southern California, and do the explant with my wonderful doctor. However, I believe you will find a reasonable price and supportive/qualified doctor right where you live. Like others on here have said, $5,000 seems a bit...greedy. Doctors deserve to be paid well for their specialized skills, but there is a point where a person can feel taken advantage of even if it is an elective procedure. A good doctor will understand this is a simple procedure provides patients RELIEF from the discomfort of implants. My doctor told me I would benefit from a lift, and I 100% agree, but he never pushed me towards implants as I was not interested. You can find a better doctor.
