Honest review!
Surgery scheduled for this Friday, 11/17/17. PreOp was Monday, 11/06/17. Looking to add more overall volume and a bit of upper pole fullness but do not want to look obnoxious. I am considered "petite" in my frame but I have been told that because my breast tissue is "focused" at the bottom of my breasts, I need a good amount of CC's to create a more round, full look overall. The doc has chosen Natrelle Inspira Soft Touch implants in the "Full" profile (comparable to HP/Style 20) in a range of 450cc to 605cc but he doesn't think he will need to go as big as 605cc. I am hoping for the most natural look possible and would go smaller if I didn't fear that smaller implants would look like two tennis balls "separated" on my chest. Because my breasts naturally fall to the side, I'm so scared of that big gap in the middle. I'm having serious second thoughts but know that's somewhat normal right before surgery. I find myself looking in the mirror trying to find a reason to stay as-is because I'm terrified of the overly-augmented look but the truth is my breasts used to be 32D & perky but at 29 and after mild weight gain/loss (20lbs) they are just not the same. I may call the doc's office tomorrow and request a smaller size/additional fitting, but with surgery scheduled this Friday it's a slim chance as they have already ordered the implants. One thing I do not love is that they don't stock all of the sizes in-house so you have to order a small range of sizes at least one week prior to surgery. I really like the doc but honestly felt confused & rushed in my consult with the P.C. and only tried sizes one time with the P.C., without the complete understanding of which profile was what and which profile I was actually trying on, and which profile would fit the parameters of my "wish" pics. And my "wish" pics weren't addressed until my pre-op apt, so it was frustrating to have to pick a size before we discussed the general look I was going for. I kept asking for clarification and did not exactly receive it until I sat with the doc in my pre-op appt. I also was taken back with the Full/High Profile choice as I was thinking Moderate or Mod+ would be ideal to fill the gap, in my non-professional opinion. But obviously I am not the expert and am trusting the pro. I'm very worried I'm going too large with too much projection and will be top-heavy or look too full. I wear a size Small & 26 in pants, and barely have a booty. I'm just second-guessing myself and am very scared I'm going too large or with the wrong type of implant. But I'm also nervous that if I go smaller, they will look too "separated"... I am trying to understand why one would choose the Soft Touch over the Responsive gel and I'm still not fully clear. I know it's personal preference but what if the Soft Touch is TOO full and they end up looking/feeling like hard beach balls? Would appreciate some encouragement, I'm doing this literally all on my own with no family/support and I'm feeling very alone and very frustrated. Thank you in advance!

Hey! Just read your review. I'm going in this Thursday. I want a natural look too and I'm 5'9 and was also told (to restore upper pole fullness) to have a larger cc size. I too do not know what I will be bettering but my doctor ordered a range of CC's anywhere from 425-485CC. I will be getting textured Sientra moderate profile, with subglandular placement.

I also wear a size 26 pants and I'm 31 years old :)

I meant to say what I will be getting* (not bettering). I would encourage you to just make it clear that you really don't want this HUGE gap between your breasts and the day of surgery bring in your wish pics AGAIN and while your PS is marking you up...make sure you guys are on the same page as far as expectations. My PS doesn't know what size he is using yet on me because it will be determine in surgery what will best fit me. I hear a lot of women regret not going larger. I want to look natural, but since I am tall, sometimes larger DOES look the most natural. When I tried on the 450cc sizers, those by far looked the most proportioned to my body. I didn't try in the 485cc but on Thursday I will be clear to communicate to my PS that he should err on the larger side...

Thank you for the encouragement! Yes since you are tall it makes sense to go "bigger"- but it's all relative & I bet you will look great! I don't know the exact size yet either, just as you said, my doc will determine in surgery. Can I ask why you decided to go with textured implants over the muscle? Just curious
User Avatar

My PS decided on over the muscle because I have adequate breast tissue to conceal the implant and he thinks in my case, it will provide a more "natural" look based on my chest dimensions and build. I think he usually does under the muscle but in his professional opinion "over the muscle" would lay better. Also because I don't need a lift but I am borderline..., going over the muscle will provide a little lift better than under. He chose Textured because it will adhere better over the muscle and stay in place (it has to do with how scar tissue is formed). Otherwise, if I was to go under, he would choose smooth round.

Thank you for clarifying! That makes sense for sure. Good luck tomorrow, I'm sure you'll do great and surgery will be a breeze! Keep us updated please :)

Your breasts are fab already

At what week did you notice your implants really starting to drop? I'm at 5 weeks and feeling like they'll never going to move south!

My doc’s PA said I was dropping fast at my post op appts, but I would say at 6 weeks I noticed a change and then again at 9 weeks. I was massaging constantly and wore my compression Velcro strap religiously until they told me not to. I personally think it took 3 months for them to settle & fluff. I checked out your latest pic, I think you look fab! For 5 weeks you look great. Awesome size. They look like they’ve come down a bit from the last photo. Are you massaging & wearing a strap? I know every doc is different in their orders. PS I wasn’t working at the time I had my surgery- in terms of having to go to an office or be on a laptop everyday- and for about 5 months after, so I think having constant time off and just laying around, following orders really helped my post-op recovery. How do you like your size so far?
October 13, 2019
Thanks for your reply and the extra information about your recovery! It helps me put my recovery into perspective! My dr. Instructed me to NOT to massage them or wear a strap :( and I'm really wanting to so that I can do something help move them down. But he says it isn't required and they will naturally move down. He's an excellent surgeon and has rave review and awesome outcomes, so I trust him... but I do want to move this process along! I like my size so far (but am feeling the boob greed ... Wish I went maybe just 50cc more hehe but definitely am happy and not feeling they are not big enough. That would suck!!) They did come down a bit, like you said. But.. my natural breast tissue is still hanging off the bottom of the implants, which you can see from side view and it looks gross! I'm just very eager for them to drop into the pocket and fill the bottom of my breast. Im at 5 weeks now and will assess again at 8weeks and then book my follow up apt with my PS and see what's next! Thanks again for your reply! It gives me comfort as I TRY to be patient!!!

Did you go over or under the muscle?
User Avatar
November 20, 2017
Hi! I went completely under the muscle. 560ccs in each. He gave a nerve block and I cannot feel my right breast but I have read that is quite normal for a bit especially after going big and under the muscle. My advice is set your alarm on your phone for pain meds, do not not take them the first few days. Getting behind it makes it so much worse. And eat tons of protein and as "clean" as you can. I will post a pic of the protein powder they gave me to use 2 weeks prior and 6 weeks after. PS I have an adjustable base bed and it's the best thing ever, look into it. It's worth it just to sleep better regardless of having new boobies or not! When is your surgery?

Thank you for your review! I have a consultation in January but keep going back and forth. Every time I see a good result Im convinced to go through with it. My breasts are similar to your before so it's nice to see a great looking result.
Please keep progress pics coming!!

Oh you are sweet thank you. I had a hard time finding similar before pics, as I never breast fed but looked like I did. I was never 100% set on getting them done so I understand the hesitation completely. But I kept looking in the mirror and realized they will never be the same so augmentation was the best option. You only live once, I say find a great doc and do it! Some days I felt like WTF am I doing? Then others I realized I didn't feel as confident as I once did and it's my body so I decided to go for it. I almost called the day before to cancel, so remember it's normal to have second thoughts. I will keep posting pics every day! If you have any questions don't hesitate to message me! I know it's hard!

Thank you for such an awesome response!!
I breastfed for one year but still have quite a bit of breastfeeding tissue and am currently a 34/36 C
I was also thinking about going mod. Profile as I liked the more natural look but I want upper pole fullness.
I've obsessively looked at this site but your story is closest to mine.
You have 560 cc full profile right?
It may be hard to tell now but does it feel like your carrying extra weight? Or is I barely noticeable?

Breast tissue * not breastfeeding tissue lol

No problem! Yes I have Natrelle Inspira Soft Touch 560ccs in Full profile. Comparable to High Profile. My doc said going moderate will make them too "wide" all around and appear upto my clavicle, as theoretically implants are as tall as they are wide. Once he explained it to me I better understood why he wanted Full profile. I have to scoot myself off of my bed and kind of keep my left arm/hand against my chest when I get up but otherwise they don't feel too heavy, my upper back hurts but I think that's due more to the Velcro wrap I have to keep on at the top. I feel some burning zingers in my right breast and my right breast is still numb to the touch but I've been on top of pain rx & Valium to avoid the sharp ones. They definitely feel tight but not how when I read that people wake up feeling like a bowling ball is on their chest. It could be the nerve block he did to help that but they don't feel too heavy. I will take more pics when I have help showering tonight. They are very swollen so they are pretty hard too.

yes! that makes so much sense. I imagine they'll add a little bit of weight but naturally the back will begin to make more muscle to compensate the weight. I can only imagine the swelling and I feel for you!! take care of yourself hun,
lots of rest.
I live in vancouver b.c and am going to see dr. pugash. i've heard good things from the site about him. I hope I have positive experience.
Happy healing and keep posting!!

Hi! Thank you! I'm sorry for the late reply. I stink with technology! I have seen a lot of different positive reviews for Dr. Pugash in BC on this forum, so I'm sure you'll love your results! It's good you're on here early doing research & gathering info.

I have an old friend who played on our ML Lacrosse team here in CO who is from & lives in Vancouver, actually 3 of the 4 brothers went pro & played on the same team here for years, super cool, I always would see these beautiful pictures from back home in Canada and get super jealous! Always wanted to visit, so beautiful. Total side note haha but it reminded me!

I'm so excited for you. You will love your boobies! I already am happy I did it. Just get all the goodies beforehand & you'll be golden! Take your meds on a schedule & don't skip, if you get behind the pain you'll regret it. I took Dilaudid & Valium in rotation & slept a lot which I think was the best thing to do, if you have the time & can, sleeping through the pain the first few days, by end of day 5/6 you'll be so glad you did. Of course eat & go potty & wake up to take meds & walk around a bit, but I woke up & showered the next day (quick pass-through, hair up in a bun) bc of doctors orders- after taking pain meds- then went back to bed & didn't shower for over 5 days after. Gross but it's because I was down for the count, asleep. I'd get up to go potty, do a lap around my kitchen to get the blood flowing then back to the bedroom I went. I put clean sheets on my bed & washed my duvet cover/towels/blankets the night before surgery bc I knew I'd be a dirty B for a bit.

Anyway, you'll do great, the first 3-5 days are the hardest. You'll look back at it and it will just be a blip on the screen! Good luck & yay for boobies!

Congratulations on the new boobs :)
I got mine done on 10 November and they still are little sore and have a little pain from time to time on one side. But it will get better . Hang in there

Dec 13. They are looking at 560 for me, but over muscle. I'm having a really hard time finding pics of that size with natrelle, subglandular. My doctor said I have enough tissue to make subglandular work- but curious to see what that size looks like with it. My befores are very similar to yours.

Best protein shake to use before and after surgery

User Avatar
SlimTwigsCO
This is the best protein powder to use before and after surgery to improve healing. It was part of my package with the doc but you can Google it and purchase it online too. "Mend Cosmetic". I use almonds, orange juice, water, frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, 1/2 banana, blueberries, peaches. Sometimes I add green apple slices. You can use milk instead of juice or water. And whatever fruit you prefer. No sweetener needed. You want to consume as much protein as possible to help you heal. The fruit helps to go potty too!
