49 yr old perm dental upper implants & lower snap on implants

I have had terrible teeth all my life. I'm 49 and after having my son I couldn't afford to take care of my teeth because of his severe medical conditions. I have been researching treatments for years and finally chose to have permanent upper dental implants and a snap on lower implant. I couldn't afford permanent for both, but if I'm able to afford perm on the lowers in the future I only have to pay the price difference as the implants are already in my jaw.
I went to multiple doctors for consultations and decided to go with Dr. Iskandar in Irving, TX. He is an amazing and caring dentist! I have had terrible issues in the past with dentists, but he has an amazing calming personality and cares about you.
In December I had the molds done, and unfortunately I had to have them done 3 times on the bottom because my lack of teeth, so Dr. Iskandar ended up doing the 3rd round himself. The staff was amazing and it was not their fault, my jaw shifts and it was not easy.
I had both the upper and lower done in one appointment due to my fear of dentists. Dr. Iskandar knew I probably would not come back if he did it in 2 stages. I took the oral sedation medicine, he numbed me up and then started the procedure. I have a hard time being put under, so I felt some of the procedure more than I wanted, but Dr. Iskandar and his team were amazing. Surgery was about 4 - 5 hours. I was able to go home and am doing good. Now that the numbing is wearing off it is becoming a little uncomfortable but I'm taking ibuprofen and before I go to bed I will take a hydrocodone.
I think I ended up having a total of 11 implants (7) on top and (4) on bottom, but not 100% sure until I go back for my checkup. I go back in a month for the stitches to come out. I'm loving the temporaries and will get everyone's opinion on the size and coloring in case I want to change them for my permanent ones. Ithe will probably be 3-5 months before I get the perm, I have very bad gums and there is no telling how long it will take for them to fully heal. I'm on soft foods for a whilw, which is fine. I look forward to hopefully losing a few pounds.
The picturestomach I'm posting are from this morning prior to procedure and then following today's surgery.
If you have an questions or concerns about having this procedure done I would love to help answer your questions.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Iskandar with Radiance Denistry in Irving. TX.

I'm 16 days out from the surgery and am doing okay. The swelling is gone and I'm trying to get used to talking without a lisp :-). I am looking forward to getting the stitches out and moving on to the next step. Dr. Iskandar is an awesome dentist and I'm so thankful I chose him and his staff.
