Approximately 3 years ago i was lured by a Groupon...
approximately 3 years ago i was lured by a Groupon deal, offering Invisalign braces for approx $4,500 AUD. I decided to go for it as I felt it was my time and the price was good (just completed my 2 daughters treatment at a cost of $14,000 combined), it seemed like a dream come true. How wrong was I.
In August 2012 I began my treatment and all seemed well for maybe the first 18 months.
Unfortunately things began to unravel, ranging from the dentist failing to be on the premises after i had made a long journey to meet my appointments, even to the point of me telephoning prior to my appointment to be sure and being told that all was ok, to only be told that he simply wasn't coming in today, very frustrating.
Not seeing the dentist meant that I was continually left in the hands of unqualified staff who could not help me, could not answer my questions and frequently could not find my trays.
After approximately two years i had to have a third set of impressions made, they took 3 MONTHS to arrive, in the mean time one of my teeth BROKE in half, i feel that this was because the trays did not fit by this stage. over the three months I made numerous phone calls and asked to speak to Rhandeep Dhillon but he never returned my call. I was given a range of ridiculous excuses ranging from the post in the USA, customs in Australia being busy checking parcels because of terrorism, to the courier coming tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.......
Eventually my trays arrived but they were a bad fit, it was difficult to speak because my tongue was hitting the back of the retainer, they continually filled up with saliva which looked horrible.
I finally gave up on Dental Horizons on my last appointment at which i drove through torrential rain for one hour only to be told that just for a change Rhandeep would not be in today!!!!!!!!
I am now with a new "orthodontist" which has resulted in me having to spend another $2,000 and god only knows how much loner to undo the poor result i have been left with.
Avoid Groupon deals and use an orthodontist not a dentist. Checkout my review on Class One orthodontics.
