Wonderful and Always Well Reviewed Dental Clinic in Costa Rica

I have been using this dental clinic for 6 years (3 visits). After much research in 2014 I chose the team of Dr Arnoldo Anglada (implants) and Dr Eduardo Castro (crowns). They are still working together but now have separate offices. Dr Castro's office is Cleo Dental.

I had had 2 failed implants (from infection) in Florida and was told I would need bridges and was opposed to that option. I was also told I had too much bone loss in the back where I had lost molars to gum disease for implants there anyway. I emailed my xrays to Anglada, he said they could be easily and successfully done. He did the 5 implants and 3 bone grafts in one sitting. It took less than an hour and was painless (local anesthesia). The implant technique was much more advanced than what they had done in the US. The room was like a hospital operating room, everyone garbed from head to toe in sterile disposable scrubs. I had no issues and returned 6 months later for the crowns.
Dr Castro and his team prepared 8 crowns (this is a slower process than drilling in the implants) which magically looked exactly like the teeth I had lost. They fit perfectly, look natural, and feel like regular teeth. I also had my old mercury fillings replaced, 2 cavities filled, a cleaning and the laser whitening done.
I was in Costa Rica for a different medical treatment 2 weeks ago and returned to Dr Castro for a check-up, cleaning and had one small cavity filled.
The standards of dental care in CR -especially for practices that cater to Americans (many Canadians go as well)- is as good or better than what you would get with an average US dentist. The cost for me was 40% of what I had been quoted in the US, including plane fare, hotel, food and excursions during the wait time.
My best advice is if you are going to CR anyway, get a check-up with a good dentist there so you are familiar and knowledgeable about the experience. Then you can decide to return without trepidation when you need expensive work done. Because it is just a matter of when. Don't throw your money away, dental is CR is a no brainer.
