Fat Graft Full Face...

UPDATED FROM 99balloons

16 days post FT

Face swelling going down, so result of graft much more apparent. Still stand by the fact that too much fat placed in areas that contribute to masculine, flat, wide face.

No worries...it usually goes about within 6 months or hen you lose weight.
some surgeon put in more fat bc the body will absorb most of it....so that way you'll retain some once it dissipates.
Awe i am sorry you are not happy maybe in time it will still lessen
Like everyone + doctors have been telling you, much of the fat reabsorbs. Give your surgeon a break. Your skin looks very nice in the after, and I think he did a great job with your cheekbones. You look a lot younger already.
The fat transfer is definitely an improvement from your before. When you go for top up, ask for fat graft to round the forehead as the brow ridge is still prominent and also more to smooth the temples on the sides so the facial contour is one smooth line. Or you could try my plastic surgeon in Korea if you like how he injected my face. He charges $2000 for prp full face fat transfer and $1000 for top ups.

Ten days out Fat Graft

Still praying most of this fat absorbs. Brows, temples, cheeks and especially lips extremely overdone and swelling is subsiding quickly. I’m starting to see my result. Severely depressed with face shape and look. Masculine, heavy face and far too wide. Face looks flat and round. Contacted doctor and staff. Waiting on what is next to do.

*on what to do after 3 month mark should results still be the heavy overdone look. Hey maybe my temples will magically dissolve though!!! *fingers crossed*
I’ve heard that if you work out a lot right after it helps burn the fat before it holds... I’m not sure if it really helps but maybe worth a try. Perhaps extra cardio... BTW I think you look good. Before and after. But the dr did not take a modest approach. It does still look good though.
Thank you. Yeah that’s just the huge shocker. Not modest at all to give a chance to get used to it or even see myself. Cannot stand his wide my Face Is up top
hope you get some improvement you looked so great in the before good luck.
Thank you. Yes I hope it absorbs. I do miss a more feminine aesthetic.
You’re not allowed excessive exercise for 2 weeks. My fat is almost gone after 3 weeks. I had to see a nurse for fillers cause it’s gone. She couldn’t believe how much it went down. She ended up recommending me Sculptra. So wait and you gonna end up praying it stays.
10 days is still very very early and you are indeed very swollen. My facial fat transfer took a good 3-4 weeks to settle down enough to where I wasn’t freaked out. I’m happy about it now and I hope you will be happy too. I know it’s hard but try to give it some time before judging the results. And for what it’s worth, I think you look beautiful.
Thank you Pixie 79. I appreciate that:)
I know you said you had tissue wasting before, but in my opinion you looked absolultey fine and just needed a small amount of temporary filler in select areas. The amount of fat doctors routinely inject into the face is absolutely ridiculous - often 30-40 times more than would be used with fillers. If you don't like it I would try and get rid as soon as poss.
I am in the process of waiting it out to get rid of the temples and brow fat. I’m happy with the volume in the jaw area, it helped with my elasticity in my skin in that region. Aside from that, I pray the rest of the graft dies. It’s absolutely ugly and doesn’t look like me.
You don't look ugly and are still so pretty. It's just a different look. From experience, I know it's hard. I hope the areas you don't like end up dissipating.
Thanks so much. It’s been a learning experience definitely with fat graft. I didn’t use fillers because I wanted a more natural approach but wish I’d known about conservative vs non conservative approaches. Would have definitely gone with a very low and slow doctor who doesn’t overfill.

Full facial fat transfer

I started losing mass amounts of volume and tissue from my face about 18 months ago. An inflammatory process that led to horrible skin rashes on top of global atrophy that just took off like wild fire. My entire head and face changed over night. I started at that point to research doctors to help me with a diagnosis. Nothing came to fruition. Blood is free of anything, docs mostly just pushed me aside as being a bad eczema case with anxiety. I went to Mayo Clinic, up north to U of W to see “experts” I was losing my mind. I was down to skin and bone. I decided on a fat graft with one of the plastic surgeons I’d been in contact with for about 6-7 months. Dr. Tzikas has a very understanding and kind approach. He said he’d worked with patients with other odd disorders and issues (Scleroderma, chemo patients etc) and he was hopeful fat graf

I think they also overfill as most does. I’ve been told generally 50% will be gone. But you still look good. For me, my mid face was left out and with huge cheeks and lips I look weird. How much did it cost you for a full face?
It was around 8500 not including anesthesia and travel. Caution though...I am now noticing also that they take a ton of fat from areas around the hips and butt? A week out and I'm noticing that they lipoed my "banana roll" from under my butt. My already small but muscular buttocks thank goodness are a little loose and flabby. Definitely a new one for me. Not a good place to lipo and not what I signed up for. From what I gathered all they needed was some fat from your love handles and tummy which I have plenty of, but now I'm worried this saggy butt will be just another thing to fix. Ugh.
Something similar happened to me. The idea was to take from my belly and hips but he decided to take from my inner thighs. I think because it’s rushed they take from an area not visible just in case you end up with uneven skin. And at 2 weeks I can see a little dent on the inside of my thigh :( hopefully it won’t get worse. I didn’t have a lot of fat anywhere that he could safely grab.
I’m sorry that sucks. I’m just baffled they needed to go under my hips for fat because there’s still plenty in my tummy! I’ll have to use that now to fill in my butt. Plastic surgery is a crazy world. Wish I knew more about this stuff prior. Could save a lot of heart ache.
Please be very cautious about taking fat from your abdomen, I'm currently looking at a second Thermi tight procedure to make up for cool sculpting done on my abdomen last May. Too much fat came off, and my formerly very pretty belly now looks like I had seven 10-pound babies, there is just not enough fat to support the loose skin.

I realize you're talking about small amounts removed by Lipo, but I want to warn everything who is not significantly overweight from removing too much fat from the abdomen,

Other areas to consider are the insides of your knees. We tend to put on fat right there, using Lipo to harvest this fat can work for grafting, and at the Dane time contour knee area back to where it may have been ten years ago.

Feel free to ask S many questions as you have, if you don't get answers that satisfy you, get other opinions. And always insist on seeing at least a dozen photos of your doctors own patients, as opposed to stick photos. You want to see what your doctor has done.

Best wishes, please keep posting.
@99balloons, wow $8,500 not including the anaesthesia is a lot! In future, consider Dr Seo at MVP clinic in Seoul who does a fab full face prp fat transfer for just $2000 and sculpts the face with fat graft. You can see my photos to see how he did mine February 26. I was in the same boat needing facial fat transfer but could not afford the £12k price in the UK or the $7k price quoted by a top fat transfer doctor in Houston. In my opinion, the best at fat transfer are the korean plastic surgeons.
5 days is waaaayyy too early to be worrying. You seem like you have a lot of anxiety! You can be swollen for quite some time, sometimes two weeks. Over the next few months, you will 99% lose some of that fat. Hopefully not too much. Its swelling and a slight overfill (which many doctors do to compensate loss), and your current state is absolutely not going to be your end result! I’ve heard good things about this Dr too. A lot of girls with damage from lasers/rf have gone to him to fix their fat loss. Just relax and maybe avoid looking at yourself for too long over the next week or 2! I think your cheekbones look really great
Anxiety? It’s my face dear. I have to walk around with it unfortunately. And at this point, it’s absolutely not even close to what was expected. If the prominent brow and wide sides dissolve then maybe we’ll see. Until then, absolutely I’ll experience anxiety.
Yes, but you should know what to expect before running and yelling “botched” and giving your surgeon a bad review. That isn’t fair to him. Of course it won’t be what you were expecting when it’s only a week out. It seems like all of the doctors have been telling you the same thing in your Q&A.
This isn't the first review you've jumped on. Maybe you should write your own review rather than berate others for sharing their experience.
Yeah well over 2 weeks out and eith the swelling gone I stand by the botched aspect in that I’m over stuffed with fat in my upper face. It looks masculine and heavy and distorted. Is there another “more suitable” term you’d like me to use? I hate the aesthetic outcome. It’s devastating and it’s my face. Sorry you don’t like it.
Lol I was trying to be helpful and realistic. I don’t have anything to write a review on, I’ve just done a lot of research. It’s not really fair to doctors to give them a bad review because you don’t like your face a week out during major heating periods. She’s had multiple doctors tell her she’s definitely still swollen, but she thinks she knows better.
*healing
I’m not jumping on anyone. Sorry you don’t like honesty!
It's always shocking to see the immediate results after a cosmetic procedure because we are so familiar with the we we looked before, and there is always a lot of swelling. If I didn't know what you looked like before I would think you look beautiful & flawless. I go for facial fillers every year and my doctor always tells me that I would benefit from a fat transfer procedure but I don't have the funds at this time. I also told him I was concerned that he might put too much fat in my face and I would permanently look puffy. He said I'd look puffy for 2-3 weeks until the swelling goes down. He also said by 50% to 70%. He said that some fat could be removed afterwards if I wasn't happy with the results. But don't worry. I'm a guy and I think you look great. Give it a good 2 months and you'll see your face shape up nicely.
99balloons - please don't worry. I have a very similar story to you - very rapid volume loss due to a highly stressful stint as a teacher that has destroyed how I look, and ruined my sense of self. I had fat transfer 6 months ago, and I now need a second one. It will go down. Much will go. Please don't worry. DM me if you want to chat about your experience.
hi dear do you have any lumps after fat transfer?
Hi Lyrixs I just had fat transfer. I am so unhappy ten days out and feel so overfilled. He put in 40cc. Do you know how much he put in your face? No one talked about the actual amount put in that means a lot because that will determine what I will look like I am so scared and depressed I did this
Surgeons hopefully know what they’re doing. I think if you have worries why he did this or that is best to ask for clarifications as there’s probably a good reason for it. And again wait a few weeks for swelling to go down. I’m at 2 weeks and a half and I reckon more than 50% of the puffiness is gone. Good luck!
