I don't know where to begin! Working with Dr....

I don't know where to begin! Working with Dr. Albert and his most dedicated staff has left me breathless. Dr. Albert, Wendy, Erin, Linda and Christiana all took such a personal interest in my well-being. I never felt like a patient. I had an unfortunate death in my family right after my surgery, and as I needed an extra post surgical garment, they delivered it to my apartment. I almost hate the thought of completely healing, as I so look forward to my bi-weekly visits.
Now as far as the surgery, (arm wing removal, in simple terms), the few friends who knew I was doing this were left in shock at the amazing results. I am 6 week post surgery and I'm wearing strapless tops. The only way you can see these very new scars is by a dramatic twist of my arm; they are literally unnoticeable ALREADY. I paid up front for my surgery, and thought I might have one or two follow up visits, but I continue to go back so they can celebrate my progress and make any recommendations needed. I am a school administrator, and researched thoroughly before choosing this team. They have my 100% support. I would encourage anyone interested in any plastic surgery to visit this group before choosing anyone else. Love you all!

Welcome and thanks so much for sharing your experience with us!

So glad everything went well for you. Did you do this because of weight loss, or just general excess skin? We'd love to see a before/after photo, if you had any you felt comfortable sharing.

It was a combination of both. I lost 25 pounds over the past 10 years. The only pics I have are too large to post. I'll ask the doc to give me his pics.

Well congratulations on your weight loss. I look forward to seeing the photos. :-)

congratulations from New York!I am in 8 days post op from a surgeon in Mount Kisco, and so far so good and I hope I have the same enthusiasm as you in 6 weeks.your experience is also interesting to me, as I am planning to relocate to your area of Florida within the next two years, and folks like us who have had one plastic surgery, usually have another........ and your review is very helpful possibly for me for the future. Good luck!

You look terrific hon. How long was your healing process? Your scars have completely faded! Do they show when you are not holding your arms up that way?

Thanks for your review and you look amazing! Do you have any close up pics of your scars? I'm very nervous about this surgery but planning to go for it in the fall.

Hi Newmeaug.. I just went to YOUR surgery post and you look FAB ! what a long haul. I met a woman the othe rday who did something similar to you and she is very happy after all those years that she did it. meanwhile the scarring thing.. I've talked to a number of people. YES it is dependent upon your surgeon's skill, and where you both choose to put the incisions... AND , of course you realize, your personal body's scar formation profile. Mine has changed over the years. I too am concerned, since it has been a long time since my last surg.. had my arms done June 23. i I am having a family reunion July 31 and these will all be fairly new ... hope I don't get flack

I'm seeing the doc this week and I'll get pics, but what you must know is that I wearing strapless dresses and my friends are shocked how you can't see the scars unless I totally raise my arms. They'll be barely visible within 6-9 months

Keep your arms at you side. I spent a week with a very judgmental sister who never noticed them and she's OCD! Lol

I just had it done ten days ago, bandages came off yesterday , today I was in food store, , I thought the clerk was going to faint when she saw the stitches . hahahaha ! I told her, I had cyst removal. I told her, this is how you spend your summer vacation when you get to my age. lol

Hi Nyg.. Thanks for reading my review. I have been lucky with scars. The only thick ones are behind my ear in the hairline and I'm hoping they flatten out. Is there a concealer that you can use on the arms once they heal? I've never dealt with a public scar like the arms will be. I laughed at your comment to the clerk when she noticed your stitches.

Too funny. I couldn't come up with a viable story. I just wore long sleeves for the first month and then I focused on not raising my arms during the day. I golf, so I west sun sleeves! Sun sleeves are very common here and work as a great concealer

I believe they told me 6 mos to a year. I'm half way to six months. I've had knee surgeries and know that scarring fades. I don't remember how long my knee took but I'll just keep my arms down when I dance for awhile. Lol
