WORTH IT$1,200
I'm writing this to encourage those out there wondering if the cost and pain of tattoo removal is worth it...YES it is! I started removing mine in November 2011 and get treatments as I can afford them. My doctor says its not how fast I'm able to do treatments, its the fact that I'm still working on them that's the important part. I've seen a lot of progress on all 3. When I started 5 years ago Picoway technology wasn't on the market yet so Dr. Mundt at Delete Tattoo in Phx did 4 out the 5 treatments with Alex Tri-Advantage. It's really cleared the bright colors well. However my large green tattoo on my arm has been more stubborn than the other colors because well, its green and green is a difficult color. I have not done a picoway treatment on it yet but soon will once i can afford it. It is definitely lightened up with the 4 Alex treatments though. I've heard that Picoway is awesome for clearing greens and blues, so I'm excited to get it done soon. Being tattoo free will feel so good. So stick with it everyone! :)

Dr. Mundt is amazing. She is so caring and genuine. She is very sweet and positive too but she is up front about realistic expectation with the tattoo removal process and clearing time. I drive an hour and a half to see her. It's worth it. I love Delete Tattoo!

Your results are so encouraging! You have been at this for a long time, way to persevere! I look forward to seeing how your green ink responds to the PicoWay laser. Do you know if your doctor also has the PicoSure?

Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us, I look forward to your updates.

Until now green and light blue have best been removed with Cynosure Picosure or a good ruby laser (nanolaser). Candela Picoway has had two wavelengths, 523 and 1064 nm. Neither of them is good for removal of green or light blue. Soon it will be possible to have the Picoway with a third wavelength, 785 nm. That should make it a much better option for green or blue than the wavelengths of the present Picoway. Even Cutera Enlighten, which is also a picolaser, will soon be delivered with an optional 670 nm. 670 nm wavelength has approximately twice as high absorption in green and blue as Picoway´s 785 nm or Picosure´s 755 nm wavelength. So that might also be a laser for you to consider.

Sorry, 670 nm has approximately 1.5 time the absorption in green and blue compared to 755 nm (Picosure) and 2 times the absorption compared to 785 nm (Picoway).

Hi sir. Is picoway good for black tattoo on African Skin?

I'm not a doctor, so you would need to ask a medical professional. However, in my research I've read that picoway or maybe it's the picosure laser isn't suited for more pigmented skin colors. There's a laser out there for black skin. I just don't know which one. Hope that helps you some.

I agree with Tore who has commented your post: make sure that the Picoway-machine/the clininc you are being treated with/by has the right wavelength for treating green and blue. This third wavelenght for Picoway targeting green and blue is not available untill the fourth quarter of 2016 (read it somewhere).
