13 weeks post BB revision

Hi there! So it’s been 13 weeks since I had my BB revised. I was starting to have hypertrophic scarring again unfortunately. I expect for it to be red, but it’s how thick and raised it is that’s bothering me :( I saw my Dr a week or two before Christmas and he decided to inject some steroids into my scar. It did flatten some areas of the scar. My Dr told me that the injections work better early on. Last time we waited until the 7th or 8th month to try steroids. I’ve been going back every six weeks so he can closely monitor it. I see him next week.

6 weeks post BB revision

Hi guys! So it’s been 6 weeks since my BB revision. I’m expecting it to be red and pink before it starts to lighten. However the scar is getting hard and feels like a rope like last time :/ I’m making sure to massage it and apply scar treatment. Im using Palmers cocoa oil but I also picked up ScarAway at the store the other day. The ScarAway says that it helps hypertrophic scarring which is what keeps happening to me. Fingers crossed that it helps. I see my Dr in a few weeks and he did mention that he would keep a closer eye on it and if needed he would do the steroid injections early on.

2 weeks post BB revision

So it’s been 2 weeks since my scar revision on my BB. Had my sutures removed 5 days later and steri strips were applied. My steri strips fell off a couple days ago. I haven’t been using scar cream because last time I noticed my scars would get red and irritated when I used it. So for now I just continue to use my Palmers cocoa oil. Hoping to see better results this time round. Taking it one day at a time and being patient :)
