Deep Plane Neck Lift Fail
talesef1September 3, 2025
I had a deep plane face and neck lift, temporal lift, upper blepharoplasty, and earlobe reduction in April 2025. For the first two months I was happy with the results, but by the third month my neck and lower face had noticeably dropped. When I raised this with the surgeon, I was advised that Botox would improve my neck, which another surgeon later confirmed would not be effective for loose skin. That surgeon advised I would need a revision.
After sharing this feedback, Dr. Berat’s wife agreed that a revision would be necessary. However, I also experienced issues with my earlobe reduction, which has left visible scarring. On a positive note, I was pleased with the results of my upper blepharoplasty and temporal lift.
One concern I had throughout was that I was never shown many post-op photos between 3–6 months, despite asking several times. Additionally, I was later removed from the patient support group, which left me feeling unsupported during recovery.
At this stage, I would not feel comfortable moving forward with a revision with this surgeon.
