From a turtle to a swan but more than just skin deep

MOTIVATION My neck had been bothering me for years as I thought it made me look like an old turtle. Then, when my face finally went downhill, I knew I was ready to find a good surgeon and I found one who exceed my expectations.

PROCEDURES - Deep Plane Facelift - Neck Lift with Platysmaplasty & Deep Neck Contour - Lip Augmentation of upper and lower lips, using mastoid fascia taken from the neck lift. - Lip Lift - Temporal Brow Lift - Correction of pixie ears into normal earlobes

RECOVERY Overall, it wasn't too painful, but I did need pain meds for the first few days. After that, it was mostly just uncomfortable. Bruising was not as bad as expected and went away quite quickly, about 2 weeks. Swelling was not bad either except for the lips, which grew to be extraordinarily huge. I looked like a cartoon character for about a week, but I was warned that this would happen so I didn’t freak out. Totally worth it and my friends got a good laugh, so everyone's happy.

OUTCOME The final result is still months away, but I believe at least 15 years has already been taken off the neck and jawline. Previously droopy eyes and outer brows now have a subtle, lifted slant which is lovely without being overly exaggerated. The plumpness of the lips from the augmentation, along with the lip lift, has adds to the overall youthful look of the entire face.

P.S. Along with the positive change to my appearance, I have also experienced a renewed interest in my overall health and well-being. A bonus to say the least and I’m beyond grateful for that.
