A Happy Plastic Surgery Patient
WORTH IT
had a deep plane facelift and platysmaplasty done by Dr. Mustafa Onal and his team - I would do it all over again.
I am a registered nurse in USA, also trained as nurse practitioner. I work in critical care, ER, ER Trauma, and also take care of patients before and after surgery. I also am a procedure nurse who assists doctors with conscious sedation procedures. I have a VERY keen eye to notice exactness, safety, processes, and doctors who are careful, conservative, and extremely detail oriented. I talked with 7 different doctors and clinics in 3 different countries as I shopped for the doctor, the clinic, the hospital, and the country I would have my procedure done at.
Dr. Onal was adamant to only do one major procedure at a time, and even for follow-up CO2 laser skin resurfacing was adamant to delay enough days to allow inflammation from the main surgery to settle. I KNOW the risks of excessive inflammatory responses - I liked his caution and concern for my safety and best outcome. Travel risks after surgery are real, and allowing enough time is important. Dr. Onal was careful to make sure I understood this.
I have several nurse friends wishing to do plastic surgery procedures - they waited until I did to see my outcome and opinion.
I am referring other of my health care workers to Dr. Onal and his team for plastic surgery procedures. I would ONLY do this if I thought my doctor and nurse friends would have a good experience.
I am happy with first experience and am coming back in about 6-8 months for abdomen lipo and sculpting.
My coordinator Nara was top notch and my transportation to from hospital and for follow-ups was right on time, every time: excellent communication. Rose the Dr.s nurse also communicated well and explained everything along the way as did the Dr.s surgical assistant ( Ismet). Accommodation and food were perfect and friendly. I feel as safe here as in my own country (maybe more safe here actually.)
Everyone has to do their own homework to find their comfort team as they pick their doctor and team. I picked Dr. Mustafa Onal, and am doing again in a few months.
