Beware — Dishonest Practices and No Accountability

I was scheduled for a procedure at Dr. Mehmet’s clinic in Turkey. At first, everything seemed professional — the staff was friendly, and the process appeared well-organized. Unfortunately, everything changed after I paid.

I paid a $1,500 deposit and $16,000 for the procedure. On the day of surgery, the clinic abruptly informed me they would not be performing the procedure. They assured me they would “do the right thing” and return my money. Two months later, I have not received a single dollar back. No updates, no outreach, no attempt to resolve the situation.

I’ve had to file two claims with American Express to try to recover my money. The clinic told me that if I canceled one of the disputes, they would refund the remaining amount. I did my part — I let one charge go through — and they still have not refunded me.

At this point, it’s clear that money matters more to them than patient care, ethics, or basic honesty. Once they have your payment, you are completely at their mercy. I chose this clinic after doing extensive research and finding no negative reviews, which is exactly why I feel compelled to share my experience now.

If you’re considering this clinic, please be very cautious. What looked legitimate at first has turned into a stressful, costly, and deeply disappointing ordeal.
