Deep Plain Neck and Lower Facelift
I chose Dr. Burke Robinson because he is a “face only” surgeon, and I trusted that would mean specialized results. Unfortunately, I was never informed by Dr Robinson about the submandibular glands or how they would affect my outcome. After my procedure, I was very disappointed with how I looked and am now having to find another doctor to correct the results.
Dr. Robinson explained at my 6 month follow up that my skin was lax and didn’t “snap back,” loose skin was the main reasons I sought a facelift in the first place. Dr. Robinson should have told me before surgery that he might not be the right doctor for the results I wanted and referred me to someone else.
I am sharing before and after photos (white top before, gray top after) so others can see for themselves. Everyone who has seen them has assumed the “before” picture was the “after,” which says a lot.
I’m sharing my experience to help others be fully informed, especially about the submandibular glands, which I knew nothing about until after my surgery. I had complete trust in Dr. Robinson, but he declined to do a revision, saying it was beyond his capabilities.

These anatomical factors vary greatly and impact results despite meticulous surgical care.
