Today was my consultation with Dr G. He spent so much time with me making sure He went over EVERYTHING with me. He explained how to get my skin ready for my procedure and gave me everything I’m going to use. He also took the time to make sure I will be comfortable during my procedure. He has a wealth of information and discussed every single thing on a level that I could easily understand. He also did not sugar coat how my healing will be a little bit of a hard road. But no pain , no gain as I always say. At least I know exactly what I’m in for. It was my pleasure meeting him today !!!!!!!

Doubting if I will ever get my laser

Loving4196

I have more wrinkles on one side of my face then the other side. So I thought laser resurfacing might be a solution. I went to one

plastic surgeon my neighbor referred me to, got a written estimation from him. But as I reviewed his website and saw reviews on this platform, I thought he didn’t have as much experience with lasers as I wanted. So after combing through providers within a 40 mile radiant, I chose one that I could not find one bad review on. I went for a consultation with him, showed him the side of my face that bothered me. He said I needed a deep resurfacing. I was a bit surprised as I looked at the before an after pictures he presented to me. These clients were much older and had deeper and more wrinkles then I do. I just turned 45 this week. Also the plastic surgeon suggested a CO2 Fractional laser, with the Morpheus 8 laser. With that procedure I would only need a week at most down time. With the deep resurfacing I was told it could be as much as 2 weeks down time. After thinking about it, I said yes to the deep resurfacing , as I thought since this Dr had so much experience with lasers, he would no what best to use. The price was just as much as the plastic surgeons price and actually more, because after I had paid for almost all of it, they hit me up with a 310$ facial cream kit I was told I would need before and after procedure. I assumed EVERY THING would have been included in there quote at the consultation, but apparently not. Anyway, they asked when I wanted to have it done, I told them the same date the plastic surgeon had planned to do it, as I had already asked for that week off work. A week later I went to the pre op appointment. I explained to the Dr all the medications I was on. He said I should be put under with anesthesia and so I should quit taking some of my medication 2-3 days before my procedure. Anyway my procedure was supposed to be for April 24th. Yesterday I received an email stating my procedure would need to be pushed out by 3 weeks. That after reviewing my medication with the anesthesiologists he wanted me off one medicine for 3 weeks. I told the office manager the day of the consultation that I was an outdoorsy person. I like to hike and camp so if I was gonna go through with this procedure, then I’d need to get it done before the end of April. To give my skin time to heal before summer is in full swing. This is just turning into a big hassle. Well after calling and telling them, I either need it done the 24th as scheduled, with out anesthesia or a refund, I was told I needed to come in tomorrow for a “test run” so the Dr could do 30 mins of the procedure to see how my body reacted. That does not make any sense to me. I haven’t even started my anti viral medicine because of it being put on hold. And am I really supposed to walk around this weekend with a small portion of my face done ? Not to include, I have to work Monday and Tuesday. I do not see how that would be possible considering I work around chemicals. All of this just seems so unorganized !!!!! I honestly think I could get by with a fractional laser. But then they would owe me a portion of my payment back as a deep laser resurfacing is more then a profractional laser. Any suggestions out there ????? Have any of you heard of having a “test run” ?

I myself would not recommend this provider to anyone. He actually sent me a photo of work he had allegedly done on someone’s abdomen with Thermi. It turned out, I found that exact photo on another doctor’s website, and it was a skin-only tummy tuck, not Thermi. That is absolutely disgraceful and unethical. I was encouraged by another doctor to report this to the AMA. At that time, I was way too upset about my own issues, so never got around to reporting this fraudulent incident. There is no reputable doctor who does something like that. There’s no excuse. Ultimately, there is no trust whatsoever.

Test Run Finished

Loving4196
So today I went for my test run just to make sure I can deal with the laser with no anesthesia. It wasn’t too bad. I actually thought it would be worse then it was. A little stinging, but no worse then a tattoo at all. I think things may be looking up !!!!!!!
