Don’t do it!! This is my story. I had been thinking about some sort of procedure to get rid of life long body fat in my lower stomach and love handles. Although I weighed only 165 lbs (as of March 2012), I still had this life long body fat. So I was by no means considered fat (33” waist), but appearance wise I thought getting rid of this fat would vastly improve my body shape. So I visited an established plastic surgeon who said that I would be a good candidate for Coolsculpting. He did state that I had to have realistic expectations and that the procedure usually produced a reduction of about 25% of the fat in the area. He did say that sometimes more would come off, and that I could have it done more than once for more fat reduction. The nurses and staff that I questioned stated that everyone who had this done was very satisfied and noticed a substantial reduction. So I did it. I also want to add that I did it along with going on a diet of about 1400-1800 calories a day (with weekends the exception) and doing aerobic activity of one hour a day at least 5 times a week. I figured if I was going to do this and pay $2,600 I would try to accelerate the fat reduction by normal dieting and exercise. Well, let me first say that I lost about 10 pounds, and for me this is a big reduction since as I stated I weighed only 165 lbs and my height is 5’ 10 ½ “. I now weigh about 155 lbs. However, the stubborn fat that I wanted to rid myself of is still there as prominent as ever. In fact, by losing weight it appears that this fat is more noticeable, at least to me. I firmly believe that this procedure does not do what it is stated. Of course the professional plastic surgeons will just say that on some people it doesn’t work. I am very skeptical if that is the case. What strikes me funny is that I see various testimonials on line that say yes this reduced my stubborn fat by 25%, some said more. Some said they had it done twice and could see up to 50%. However, I didn’t see hardly any negative responses. I assume this procedure has been done thousands of times across the country, and I am wondering why I am the only one to have had what I perceive to be NO noticeable results. This procedure cost me $2,600, and from what I have researched can range from $2,600 up to $4,000 based on what state you have it done. Please, spend your money more wisely. However, if you really want that stubborn fat gone than go all the way and have some sort of liposuction done. It will cost more, and it is invasive (which I would never submit to) but at least that procedure takes the fat out of your body. I really regret having Coolsculpting done, and I fault myself for thinking that this non invasive procedure could actually rid you of this type of fat. I was far too naive. If it really works why wouldn’t someone have it done 2 to 3 times, pay $7,800 which is still probably far less than liposuction, and have a non-invasive procedure and hardly any fat left? It doesn’t add up!

He advertised on TV quite a bit. I felt assured this would work but it didn't.
