Hello! I have done lots of research on Panniculectomy surgery and tons of searching on here for info. I went yesterday for my consultation, he said that I was a great candidate by looking. They took pictures, I also told them about the rashes I deal with. Waiting on other Dr's records for treatment. The PS said he'd like to see me have the surgery and wants to see me have a lap band done and referred to a bariatric surgeon. Not sure how I feel about having a lap band. Now have to wait for documents to give to them so they can submit my claim to insurance. He wants to see it done by the fall. Hoping everything goes smoothly! He didn't bring up a price.

Really Bummed...

I was approved through BCBS IL rlon my first claim for surgery. The dr office called today to schedule surgery. I just left my job for a new position closer to me and will be losing coverage (Can't afford COBRA) I will be put on Medicaid but do not know if they will cover it. The nurse told me 90% of the time you would be denied the first time. I'm pretty sad about this.
