66 Hours Since Surgery

Pain is intermittent. Sometimes it feels pretty bad, but the pain medication does its job. My under eye swelling and eye bruising is exponentially better in just 30 hours. I’ve been eating quinoa, lentil soup, green juices, and fruit smoothies.
I love the saline nose wash. I look forward to it. Feels so good. I’ve been keeping my outside sutures very clean with hydrogen peroxide and q-tips and carefulness.
I was prescribed antibiotics but didn’t start them immediately. I took my first one 48 hours post-op after I noticed a very minimal amount of yellow drainage. It is now gone. My sutures no longer sting.
Getting used to sleeping the way that is necessary to prevent swelling. I strongly relieve recovery will be a breeze from here on out. I feel good.

It is now about 36 hours after surgery.

My left nostril is blocked and draining/dripping light red mucus. My right nostril is wet with mucus but not blocked or dripping. This is the most swollen and bruised I have been since surgery but it’s not terrible. I took my first pain pill last night, my nose was throbbing and stinging while trying to sleep. I may just take the pain medication to help me sleep.

It’s hard for me to get adequate nutrition so far. I haven’t eaten enough. I’ve eaten a few orders of a side of rice and beans. Some pineapple mango smoothies. A lot of water. Green juices.
Today I will try to eat more and find a variety of foods I can eat.

I've wanted a nose job for years and got one 10/20/2020.
The immediate post-op results are so beautiful and perfect, exactly what I wanted but couldn't envision myself. I did not think it could be so ideal!
Comments from pre-op evaluation:
Nose deviated from trauma
Bone callus
Septum deviation
Pointed asymmetries
