I did it! I had my vaginoplasty-perineoplasty-labiaplasty done less than 24 hours ago. I have found great help with the reviews on this site and am gladly writing to help others decide.
I am 39 years old and had 3 vaginal births. The first son was born using a vacuum and an episiotomy, the second son came out easily and the third, my little princess, was a very big baby (7.15 pounds\3.6 Kg whilst I'm a very small woman) and tore me. I always had a very healthy sexuality and a good partnership with my husband on all aspects, but with each and every childbirth I discovered my sexual pleasure was diminishing, my orgasms attenuated to the point of not being worth the effort of obtaining them, and it became very difficult to obtain them at all. It turned out I had vaginal wall prolapse and a cystorectocele (protrusion of organs into the vagina due to weakened muscles). I tried physiotherapy but quickly realized my situation was beyond that. I read about vaginal rejuvenation (perineoplasty combined with vaginoplasty) and decided to have it done, I also decided to have a Labiaplasty while I'm at it, as my labia minora (small lips) were both aesthetically unpleasing and were being pulled in unpleasantly upon penetration. I went to consult a local urogynicologist who started moving uneasily in his chair when I presented my problem. It seems it's OK for a woman to come complaining of having urinary incontinence (which I had, though very minimally and seldom) or if the husband is complaining she was too wide (mine had no complaints), but not OK to seek help regaining her own sexual function and pleasure! I never went back to that doctor. I quickly realized that in my homeland there isn't a single OB/GYN with the skill to do this procedure. I started searching the internet, and learned that Dr. Goodman is one of the leading doctors in the field, acknowledged by his colleagues for his expertise. I am a physician myself and understood the importance of having no-one but the best perform this, as you have only one chance to get it right, and fixing a botched job is not always possible. I have traveled over 7,000 miles to see Dr. Goodman. It is an honor for me to write that Dr. Goodman is an exceptional physician and human being - Never have I seen such perfect bed manners. Dr. Goodman was patient, explained every possibility, pros, cons and risks in advance, explained to me everything he was about to do to me while examining me, and I could tell he has golden hands. His staff were all charming ladies, supporting me all through the process of making my arrangements to travel as well as through the procedure. As I had to travel all alone, after the surgery Dr Goodman had one of his assistants drive me back to the hotel and walk me to my room.
The procedure itself was performed in-office, with local anesthesia, The injections of the anesthetic were not so bad (I've read they were very painful) and the most difficult part about the procedure was having to lie down in the same position for so long, When my procedure was done, I started feeling an excruciating pain, but that went away with the pain medications which I now take around the clock for the first few days, I cannot tell you yet if I accomplished the goal for which I had the surgery,,,but I will keep posting about the healing experience and in 2 month time when I can resume sexual activity I will share my impression.

Hi again,
The healing process isn't easy. I'm constipated despite prunes and medications, the Narco equivalent pain medication is fabulous and completely controls the pain, but causes constipation by itself. (Now I can do with lighter pain meds, but trying to forgo the Narco the first 48 hours is a big mistake- severe pain). As expected, everything got swollen, and the toilet isn't my best of friends right now. I need to lie down most of the day. Being alone with it isn't easy but still I am so very glad I did it. Dr. Goodman has been fabulous all along, calling to check on me, answering my questions patiently- a great doctor.

Hi
The pain was diffuse, but mainly like pressure inside the vagina, as well as pain from the sutures that were on the perineum (the skin outside, around the vagina). I was able to squeeze after surgery, but my muscles were weak and needed training.

Hi
I agree constipation made the situation worse. I hope that it gets better. It took me a whole day and I have more pain down there since trying to do a bm.

OK, healing is difficult! Seating is painful, walking is hell, especially on my back, but I think partly because I only brought my usual, high healed sandals. Big-big-big mistake. walking barefoot in the hotel room is somewhat better. I have a 17 hour journey back home the day after tomorrow and am so scared about it. 2 flight, one of which is 14 hours straight! and I am only comfortable lying down. Constipation passes easily with stool softeners, prunes and Miralax, wait patiently, it will take 3-4 days to happen, don't push and it will be OK.
My advise is to remember this is no minor surgery, take enough time to heal, at least 2 weeks I think and get a lot of help at home. It is a painful debilitating process, though I still think I will be very glad I did it eventually, those of us who need it know why they are willing to go through so much to better things.
