I'm only 2 weeks and 3 days away from my tummy tuck, which is so crazy to think!! It's been a long time coming, and a decision I have made after thinking about it for over 2 years now. It's still not reality to me that it's actually happening! I went to a consultation last year but ended up chickening out. It's expensive and elective surgery, so I really had to weigh the pro's and con's, but to me it's worth it, because I don't want to spend the rest of my life hating my body like I do now, so hopefully it'll come out positively! I wouldn't normally write this type of thing, but reading all these reviews has been SO helpful to me, so maybe I can help someone along the way too! The scariest part for me right now is the not knowing. I read the good/the bad/the ugly and it seems that recovery is either really good or really bad, so not knowing which side of that spectrum I will be on is scary! I'm hoping that I will not be super swollen for months and my scar will not be horrendous and I will be happy with my results. I'll keep updating here as time goes on and after my surgery and will upload pics later. Gotta get to the gym while I still can :)

It's Done!!
Dmml2015April 6, 2015
So I finally made it to the flat side!! I had it done Friday but today was really the first day I felt well enough to write a whole lo, with all the the pain meds and drift quite a bit. I was super busy all week trying to make sure I was fully prepared and my fan would have everything they needed. Not to mention I had to get easter stuff too. I was so nervous I would miss a step of my pre op instructions! Being busy kept me from over thinking the procedure tho so that was good!
So morning of I check in and get right down to business with the papers wrk, iv, drawing ect. Enforce I knew it it was time to go back. So this is when I get nervous and in my head rethinking my choices lol! I'm laying there wondering if this is the right choice now and they told me I'm going to feel a little giggly from the meds. Well I did,the poof! Woke up in recovery! I do not remember much from that point on except vaguely getting up to go the bathroom and then I was home. I'm not gonna lie, even with the pain pump and meds the pain was unreal! My husband had to pulle me up to get to the bathroom and do everything for me. I've been so lucky because he has done it all happily and is literally a saint. Surprisingly have bot felt nauseous which is awesome but have had a little cough that makes me want to die a little each time :/ yesterday and today the pain meds could not come fast enough but tonight I actually feel really good! Even got up to go to the bathroom myself and walked a little farther in my house. No real appetite, but have been eating a roll with meds, had some cottage cheese and some ice cream. My PS does not suggest the compression belts which has been weird but I trust what he says so am going along with it. I am swollen to the point my stomach is so hard but it still makes me want to cry to look down and see those rolls gone! I'm so so happy I just hope it looks as good after it totally heals! Dr. Van Raalte and all the staff and nurses are absolutely AMAZING,!! Could not say that enough. Nurse Megan explained everything to us and wrote it down bc my husband was obviously overwhelmed and checked up on me today. they are so great! Will update more later with pics hopefully!
