Redensity 2 doesn't seem to last.

Just an update. I feel that next time I may want to try a different dermal filler for my undereyes. Redensity 2 just doesnt seem to last because my undereye looks a bit concave again...slightly, mind you, but still noticeable to me, of course. It has only been a few months. Also, I feel 2 syringes should of fixed the issue as my tear troughs weren't as sunken in as others I've seen. At this point, it is a fair evaluation to say that I need a 3rd syringe by a different injector to give me the smoothest results that I envision. I am considering to let a board certified plastic surgeon do it next time, namely, Dr. Sean Rice, who also performed my bilateral breast reduction in April.

Symmetry: Left eye to balance the right.

I will be going to go see Monica just to even out the left under eye to match the right. No one can truly see what I see, but it bugs me! This is an art and I am OCD with symmetry. Plus, she makes me feel at ease with my concerns. I feeel after this minor adjustment, I will be sailing free for 9 months to a year! Great decision.

Almost 2 Syringes Later, I Am Pleased.

So, today was visit #2 to my sweet and honest injector nurse because I was not entirely satisfied with 1 syringe for both tear troughs. My initial visit was almost 2 weeks ago. The results at first looked OK, but nothing too notable in difference for that pricetag. I decided that if I was doing this, I am doing this all the way, not half way, or else why bother? I returned today to get another half of a syringe worth of Redensity 2 in my tear troughs and along the orbital bone. My goal was to be aesthetically refreshed and also symmetrical. I felt my right eye was underdone compared to the left side. This happens, depending on the room's lighting. The light was overhead, which casted some shadows where they shouldn't of been for the nurse to properly assess if I needed more. When I sat in my car, looking in the mirror, I knew in my gut I could definitely use a bit more filler so I knew I would be back.

Needless to say, today I look like I am 30 again....shaved off 7 years minimum in just a matter of moments...and that's without makeup (I go bare faced to get the most accurate results. Makeup can cast shadows). I can't wait to wear my usual makeup. I do expect another round of very minor swelling but I just apply Arnica gel when I remember. She used a cannula (blunt tip) needle to minimize bruising. I didn't get one bruise yet though!

I truly couldn't be more pleased with these results!! Natural, not overdone.

I highly recommend this procedure but do thorough research. Tear troughs are not an easy area to treat to get realistic results, and it isn't just product that counts - it's the injector's aesthetic eye more than anything else, in my opinion. Make sure they have done enough of this area to make you confident in their ability.

Backgrounder: My nurse chose to treat me with a more hydrating option, known as Redensity 2, which is approved specifically for the tear trough area. It also plumps and hydrates over time and can last from 9 months up to a year in some people, which is very cost-effective and all I will need to do is top-up with 1 syringe when the time arrives.

:)
