Update Day 6
The marks from the laser are almost completely gone, but still no change in the staining under my eyes. Is this something that will take time for the body to reabsorb? I was hoping to see at least a small change for the better :(

How are you doing? Do you have before pictures of your hemosiderin staining? I'm 2 years from my filler under eyes, and am afraid I also have hemosiderin staining.
I tried to get pictures, but couldn’t get the lighting right to catch the staining. I will keep trying & post if I get one. I still have not seen any improvement. I’m at a loss what to do now. I’ve tried creams, now laser. I bought the Jenu to see if it would help penetrate the creams more (Vitamin K). No luck. And I have been unable to find many cases online or suggestions on how to fix it. You?
No, I haven't. I feel very alone on this issue, and have done a tremendous amount of research. I'm sending you a PM in case you wish to talk, I don't know about you, but talking to someone going through the same thing feels good. I'm constantly looking for new emerging treatments. I'll tell you more.
I am post op 2 months eyelid surgery and had massive bruising, the worst the Dr has seen in years (according to her). It's so rare to have hemosiderin staining that she doesn't even know anything about treatment. I understand it's like removing a port wine birth mark or blck tattoo and people who specialize in these treatments are the best to consult. I have appointments at a university and guy who does nothing but various laser treatments next month in April. I will let you both know how that goes.
Not really like a port wine birthmark. Port Wine stains are vascular birthmarks treated with vascular (heat) lasers such as pulsed dye lasers.
It's more similar to tattoo removal, where the colour of the tattoo would be the colour of the iron pigment deposited in your dermis.
I would be extremely careful in proceeding and make sure that whoever treats you has experience beyond just removing tattoos. Too aggressive laser treatments can lead to permanent hypo or hyperpigmentation.
If I were you I'd make sure he uses conservative settings, and wait as long as possible between treatments - the longer the better. No need to rush the treatment sessions as you'll only end up paying for more sessions and risk damaging your skin permanently.
If you could take some before and after pictures it would be really helpful as well. :)

Also, post op 2 months I really wouldn't do the lasers at all. I would wait at least a 6 months to a year, as these things take forever to resolve. 2 months is nothing, and it may very well resolve on its own.
Avoid smoking, drink lots of water and try manual lymphatic drainage - it might help.

Hi there. Any update here?
Clarifying, asking Kristin if she has an update from her appointment in April.
look for PicoSure Laser, time will Help too.
Yah takes a few and a while to see any change :(
Hello, I have hemosiderin deposits from a septoplasty/rhinoplasty that caused a lot of bruising. Any updates on treatments that actually work? I’m hoping that something will work as I’m really pale and the deposits are very noticeable. They are above and below my eyes.
Can you guys please tell me how long it took for hemosiderin to disappear completely? did you use any creams? thank you very much!

Update Day 4
While the swelling and redness has diminished, (still days away from it being gone completely) the issue of the hemosiderin seems to have gotten worse. I’m not certain if I will see improvement over time, but it is definitely still there. Very frustrated.
