New Life to Tired Dark Eyes!

WORTH IT
I turned 50 last year, but that didn’t bother me as I see age as just a number! However over the last few months I’ve noticed fat loss from under my eyes which make me look tired and feel old! I discussed tear trough filler with Mr Rhodes, he said I would benefit from it! I booked my app with him at his clinic in York (Face Etc) and I went last Tuesday. I was very nervous as I’ve never had any facial injectables, ie Botox/filler etc. I was actually quite proud that I’ve reached 51 and never found the need for injectables until now!! Mr Rhodes explained the procedure to me, the benefits the risks etc. I honestly thought it was really going to hurt but to be honest I didn’t actually feel a thing, I felt a bit anxious still but that’s just the thought of having needles stuck in my face and also I was worried because what happens if I’m allergic to the filler! Would my face swell up! I had a cosmetic procedure 4 years ago on my teeth which went wrong and left me with nerve damage so I was worried putting myself through something else that was just for cosmetic reasons was a risk but I felt it was worth taking as your face is the first thing people see, it’s the first thing I see when I look in a mirror and I wasn’t happy with how I looked at this moment in time!
I immediately bruised under my left eye, there’s tiny little blood vessels in your under eye which are pretty hard to avoid. I’m told tear trough isn’t the easiest of areas to treat so expected some bruising. I got an instant effect with the filler, I didn’t have that much put in as I was nervous so I have another appointment booked for a little bit more in a few weeks. During the procedure Mr Rhodes lovely wife Orla chatted to me and held my hand when she felt I needed it. I really feel she did a good job of keeping my mind off the needle going into my face as I was too busy chatting to her to worry about it.
After a few hours and as well as the initial bruising I got under my left eye, the inside corners of my under eye started to bruise, not a lot but enough to make my eyes still look tired. I tried every concealer I had to try cover the dark bruising, ended up buying another (L’Oreal) which worked a treat, although I think I put that much on if you turned the lights out I’d probably glow in the dark!!
I’m now 5 days post treatment and the bruising has faded slightly, I can’t really get the full affect until the bruising has completely gone.
I’m having another surgical procedure in a week and hopefully now when I turn up to the hospital with no make up on I won’t scare anyone now I’ve had my under eyes sorted!!
I’ll post photos soon.

It’s not cheap, the going rate starts at £500 and can cost more if you need more than 1.0ml. Xx

There is quite an improvement, I just need the bruising to go so I can get the full effect!! The bruising isn’t actually that bad I’m just impatient!!!
This is with a small amount of filler, so will be interesting to see if I actually do need a little bit more in a few weeks!

10 days post treatment

10 days post treatment, only a small amount of bruising, I can cover it with concealer but I’m looking forward to the day the bruising has gone! I now find myself totally obsessed with looking at people’s tear troughs!! This is my first experience of fillers and I like what it does but it has made me think about fat transfer in the future instead of more filler. For now I’ll look forward to waking up with no bruising! L xx
