Change is Good

From a young age, getting a rhinoplasty was always something that was on my mind. It was never something that was unheard of in my family. I am Persian, and it is very common for people of my race to get their nose done. Couple of my family members have received rhinoplasty in the middle east, so it was never an uncomfortable subject to bring up to my family. I've always felt as if my nose got in the way of EVERYTHING. I tried different ways to always make the appearance of it look smaller (thanks to contouring with makeup) but even with that, still never felt as if it could fully fix the issue for me. My nose was never big, it did fit my face in a sense, but I always knew it could be well more adjusted to my features if my bridge was flattened. It was something minor I wanted fixed that would make a significant difference. I had always contemplated getting the procedure done since a lot of my good friends would always tell me, "oh you do not need a nose job!" to "don't change who you are!" Regardless of hearing those comments, I trusted my gut, and knew what would be best for myself. I'm extremely grateful that my family, mainly my mom, whom I am very close to, was supportive of my decision. After finishing my first year of college, I knew contouring my nose was never going to fully take away the feeling of insecurity I felt when I went out. I came to Dr.Stompro and Dr.Chang's office after hearing so many amazing things about them and the services they offered from many people. I went in for a complementary consultation. It was very important for me to go to somebody who understood my vision and made me feel comfortable. Dr.Stompro, who was my surgeon for this procedure, had gone above and beyond my expectations. Before I even told him what I saw for myself, he had the same vision in mind, but even better. His staff made me feel so comfortable and at home. I knew right then, that I had to go to him for this procedure. Him and his lovely staff took such good care of me, especially with that fact that I was getting this surgery two weeks before I had to go back to school. Following all his instructions, the recovery process went great! I went back to school with minor bruising and swelling, very happy with my results, yet I knew that it would take time till I could see my final result. I am so glad I had this procedure done by Dr.Stompro! Now that a little over a month has gone by I am soo happy with my result. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder and feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. Im so excited to see where the recovery goes this next year. Will definitely post updates soon!
