Have not had procedure yet...
Been hiding my forehead for years under thick bangs that have gotten longer and thicker over the years as my wrinkles have become more prominent. The last straw has been my husband always asking me why I am frowning at him. That and a little inheritance money got me to thinking that I could do something about it. I have used Real Self and Yelp extensively researching MDs and procedures, both of which have been invaluable. I ended up with 3 consultations and have chosen Dr Elliott Lavey in Danville CA for my surgeon. He is everything that all of his reviews say he is, 30 years experience, low key, humble, and reasonably priced. Also left handed and artistic both of which are good to have when someone is working on your face! (Left handed people tend to be very creative and artistic)
I decided to go for a full rejuvenation: forehead lift, face/neck lift, and lower bleph. We shall see in a few weeks what the results will be. I will post after photos.
Let me add that it is the encouragement from the Real Self crowd that has made a difference because everyone I have told have said to me that I don't need a facelift (I am sure that they are just being nice) and I feel a little guilty/selfish spending that kind of money on myself. And when I get on Real Self, the community is so positive and encouraging that it makes me feel like I made the right decision.
So I will keep you posted, but for now I will leave you with a few before pics!

I think that I have everything ready for the big day. Am driving down tomorrow to Danville, Ca. for the surgery really really early in am. Going to spend the night and get the drains out the next day. My daughter is going with me and will be driving me home. I will post again after the first week and maybe even a picture or two if I am brave enough.
