It is now January/2018 & I suffered mentally until a few weeks ago. At the time (June 30,2017), my measurements were 5'8" , 138 pounds (ive been working out for many years, so a lot of my weight is muscle). When i was 21, i lost 30 pounds and have kept that weight off. I have been consistently working out for 17 years. I have worked as a personal fitness trainer and know how to sculpt/ build muscle naturally as much as my body will allow. When i lost weight, i had a little stubborn fat on my hips and lower tummy, but it wasn't bad. It bothered me that when i would wear jeans, i would have a very tiny layer of fat. I realize NOW that i was too hard on myself and very picky. So, i decided to get coolsculpting on my hips and lower tummy. The dr decided i only needed one treatment per area (they had a special for $600 instead of $700 per area). I did research and went to a very reputable place. After the procedure, i swelled TERRIBLY. I got up to 144 pounds during my period and 141 when i wasn't. I know how to lose weight through calorie expenditure and i could not because i was so swollen!! It literally took 6 months for my body to go back to normal! I now weigh 135. It was very frustrating! I see a minor change but i WOULD NEVER do this again! I wasted hours at the gym (various workouts including 6-7 mile runs) and dieted. I remember running with extra weight that i wasn't used to. I wasn't on any medications that could cause weight gain and even took water pills.. nothing helped. I would not recommend coolsculpting to anyone. Plus, i regret doing anything that hasn't been out for many years to find out if side effects could occur later in life. The entire experience taught me to not be so hard on myself and be happy with the body God gave me. Also, to not put so much precedence into appearance.. work out to be "healthy", not have "the perfect body".. that doesn't exist and we all will get old one day. Terrible experience and the doctors on this site only say positive things about Coolsculpting. Why?? Because they want to make money.. not to sound negative.. like i said, this has not been around long enough for these doctors to have all the answers.

The dr was very kind but the practitioner who did the coolsculpting was miserably rude.
