Damon Braces!

I am 24 years old and have just started a journey to fix my smile. I have a pegged lateral, along with a primary tooth (baby tooth) and canine tooth that drifted where my lateral is supposed to be. (See pictures). I just started with Damon Braces and I am so excited about the end result. I have full trust in the orthodontist I picked! I will update as time goes on! Upon placing my brackets, he built up my baby canine tooth and placed a bracket. He also reshaped my misplaced canine tooth and placed a bracket.

I survived week 1! It took about a week and a few days to eat normally. The bottom teeth have become straighter and I see slight difference in the pegged lateral on top. Will post more updates! Excited!

So i just went to my six week adjustment and they replaced my wire and the color of my (optional :) ) rubber bands. The pain is pretty much back like the first week of braces but I would say it’s not as bad as the first week. Still soup and oatmeal though! I am seeing a lot of progress when I compare photos. Bottom is straighter and top two front teeth are starting to make their way up into my jaw, so it seems. Pegged lateral is definitely staring to face the correct way. Excited for the weeks to come!!
