Damaged by Dot CO2 Laser treatment

I had one Deka dot CO2 laser treatment at Avalon Laser Carlsbad Ca. I paid $1600 for 2 areas- face and neck. I specified to Lauren the technician my skin was older, sun damaged and thin so to please set the laser to those conditions. She said I would not be damaged. I was. I was left with white hypo pigmented scar (yes scars) along my jawline and below my cheeks. My neck was permanently burned with etched horizontal lines not there before. It was a big mistake I can not reverse. I tried to work with the owner (an ER doctor not a board certified dermatologist nor plastic surgeon) but he denied any responsibility.
