13 days PO

Sleeping in the bed again, ahhhh! But the back pain is absurd, I wasn't prepared for how much the hunch walk after a TT hurts your back! No pain meds for several days now, just hasn't been necessary. I do take ibuprofen for my back, which does the trick.
Now, let's talk about swelling and draining. I went in at PO day 3 had surgical drains removed, with a total output of 650cc. Then went in at PO day 6 and had 85cc drained via a cannula the nurse placed in my abdomen, using a syringe. Then at day 12 PO, I was miserable, so went back in for a draining and had 165cc removed via the cannula technique. Which one would imagine would be painful, but it actually is a huge relief. My incisions look great, I am so excited to see how this progresses. I love looking down and seeing a flat stomach! That really makes it so worth it!

5 days post op

Today started out with terrible back pain, not sure if it is from sleeping in the recliner or not. I quickly took my Lortab 5mg and went back to the recliner, woke up an hour later feeling much better.
Not much pain from the abdominal area, unless I bend or try to straighten up too much.
I want to share the photo of what was removed, hopefully it won't gross anyone out too much. The doc says the removed tissue weighed in at 6 pounds. Plus he liposuction off 250cc.

I have been feeling great, the only pain I am experiencing is from my back, thanks to the hunched over old lady walking. I am taking valium 5mg, only once today and Lortab 5mg once also. I am using the binder Dr. Sherrill provided and a waist trainer I purchased from amazon, it has made life much easier, it keeps my incisions from being irritated.

Still no BM since surgery, despite taking the docusate twice daily.

I am still sleeping in my recliner as well, but sitting in my glider rocker during the day, hoping the rocking will stimulate peristaltis and help me with the gas!
