Congrats on all the weight loss!!! That's amazing! I've lost 90lbs and can't seem to lose anymore. I am going on May 19th to get my tummy tuck and breast lift. I am getting lipo in the mons-pubis area, hips/flanks, and upper abdomen as well. You can look at my profile and see the recent pic I posted. The surgeon said those are pretty common areas that need to be lipo' during a tummy tuck.

Welcome to the community.  I say go for the tummy tuck so that you have ultimate results.   Since you have had such a big weight loss you will want to have all of the extra skin removed.    Some docs will also do a little lipo with the tummy tuck.  That is what I had done and love the results.

Had my appointment Friday April 10th to only be told I have to lose 50 more pounds, no quotes, no conversation really only how I can buy a $750 meal plan smh...the staff was friendly but the Dr just only wanted to talk spending on a diet instead of anything else he made my 120lbs weight lost seem like nothing I have determined though you will not always like every Dr you come across its all about what they say and how the say it. He could've given me a quote so I can price out things nothing

Don't be discouraged! My doctor told me to get as close as I can to my desire weight, because after getting a TT I can only lose up to 15 pounds afterwards without messing up the results. Good luck!

My advice to you is to lose the rest of the weight first, that way he can remove everything the first time and not have to do it again later. I'm going through that right now. I have my revision TT on the 27th to remove skin.

time for another dr, your weight loss does matter, sometimes the docs get numb to your accomplishment

I agree I have always been told it's not what you say but how you say it. If he would of acknowledged my weight lost and kindly said well maybe about so much more needs to be lost then we would of been on the same page but he was just rude about it I felt as though I wasted my time and gas going to see him.

Don't get discouraged. I have a doctor who is verbally challenged....been going to him since 2010 and I think I finally have him figured out. I'm scheduled for panniculectomy which they have submitted abdominoplasty to insurance, May 7th. Maybe I will wake up with a little extra work! Just don't get discouraged, I haven't talked to many people who would not have done it again! We got this!

Hey MsThang you are doing great with the weight loss and don't stop until you reach your goal...My doctor told me to try my best to get to the closest weight and then do a TT to get rid of the flab and as much of the stretch marks. Also full body lipo sculpting...So yes lose the weight then do a TT because i had Lipo alone years ago and it worked for a few years then the fat and the flab came...and before he did the Lipo on me he told me he suggested a TT but i was pig headed and wasted $5000 in the US ..I am not a doctor but trust me you will get way better longer lasting even permanent results if you do a TT and liposculpture. My opinion...Good luck on whatever your decision is...I wish you all the best...We are all in this together.

Hello Everyone it has been such a long time since I’ve been in here well I have since my last post reached my goal weight. Now I’m looking for a Dr who can perform a BBL, Liposuction, a Tummy Tuck, and a breast reduction and lift. When I started my weight loss journey over 7 years ago I never thought I would reach my goal weight. I went from 320lbs size 9 panties, XXXL shirts and just big everything. I am now down to 148lbs size small in panties (oh how I want to change this), a medium or small sometimes and a size 6 1/2 in kids shoes (this I love). Although my weight loss was done overtime I still have excuses skin I need removed so I can truly see my smaller size. I was going to this Dr I have been following for the longest in the Dominican Republic butttt, so now I’m looking for a Dr in the USA. I would love any recommendations. I live in TX but I’m willing to travel if the Dr is worth it and board certified.
