Hey ladies , Recovery day 19 and it is going good...
Hey ladies , Recovery day 19 and it is going good so far . So i had my painful moments yesterday - i did a crazy thing and initially thought nothing of watching a funny movie . I WAS WRONG!!! i couldnt stop laughing and almost split my muscle repair . I think my husband had more fun looking at me instead of the movie .He didnt understand whether i was happy or was in pain . Absolutely crazy , LOL . so my best advice - please do not , i repeat do not watch comedy movies for a while after TT with MR especially.
Also , i have noticed that since this afternoon when i stand up i feel some pain at the top of abdomen which stays for a bit and then goes away . Feeling some burning sensation sometimes in the tummy and cannot make anything of it . I am planning to start work on monday and hoping it will be ok .another thing is i am still not able to completely stand straight which is kind of weird . I thought i would be able to stand straight and not hunched over still . Is this not right ?
I posted some new photos of belly button and the front view . I still have some swelling that needs to go down from mid tummy to bellybutton . I guess it is a slow healing process .
Hope everyone is doing well :-)

Your swelling looks like it has gone down from the last pics to your new ones. Great pics, I hope I look that good after mine.
Yes , it is definitely going down but very slowly . You will look awesome and will have great results:-)
Girl, you look HOT! It even looks like if you had a boob job done because your girls stand out even more now that you have that new flat tummy. Your bb looks healed, mine still has a long way to go. How did you take care of it? I feel I need to let mine air more. It is always covered by a tank top plus garment so don't know how long it will take it to heal.
Thanks mayela. I didn't do anything to the belly button .one week postop the nurse took out the stitches on them after that I just kept it open w/o bandage.I do have my compression garment on it all the time. I am kind of scared of using anything on the bb or scar.I am going to check with doc if it's ok to start using anything on the scar.
Yes definitely true , posture and the look changes a lot with flat tummy.

hello ladies , hope y'all are doing well .I am doing much better today than last week . Started driving , shopping , doing chores etc . I started my period today(TMI) so it will be good to get that done before i start work next week . I initially took only 2 weeks off of work which is probably enough as i could have vey easily gone back to work today as it is a desk job . i took additional week off to spend some more time with kids and get some things done . Swelling s definitely going down and the tummy is getting much flatter as days pass by . I am getting really excited with the outcome . I will post some new pics as soon i take some .Good luck to all the tummy tuckers who are sceduled this week to get their tummy tuck done. It is so worth it !!!

Wylie, how did ur appt with dr.hackney go ? I am feeling much better as days go by and definitely seeing the swelling is going down. Loving my new tummy for sure.
Hey girl! Thanks for posting your results! We ate recovering at the same time as I had my TT on the 24th. I have been doing tremendous research as well to minimize scarring. While my husband has been having a field day looking up ratios to cover it up. Lol. Anyway, you should look at my post regarding manuka honey. I've also recently turned to essential oils since at 3 weeks, my Dr. said I could start massaging the scar area to help beak down the scar tissue. I found several places stating helichrysum in rosehip seed oil is fantastic at minimizing scars! I ordered mine over the weekend from naturesgift.com. its supposed to also help with old scars too but results mat take a while---like 3-6 months. Anyway, that's just what I'm going to try. Here is a link regarding some of the healing properties: http://www.birchhillhappenings.com/scars.htm
Good luck and I will post pics on my results!!!

hi gummybunny , hope you are doing well and recovery is going great . Thanks so much for the info . I havent really started using anything for scars but definitely will look in to the above options as they sound great.
I saw Dr Hackney. He is so great. Awesome listener and really cares. I am leaning towards using him. Im glad your swelling is going down and you are on the "other side" of all the painful part of recovery. I wish I could skip right to that part :)
Good to hear that you liked dr.hackney . I know , wouldnt it be awesome to skip to that part , lol . Anyhow , do not worry - first few days go by so fast , you will soon be on the other side of it :-)
