How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

I am 41, 5-8", weigh 184 and wear a size 12.. I have had four children but three births. My twins were born 1989, full term and born naturally. They were big babies weighing both close to 7 lb 5 oz and 19 in long. I weighed around 130 when I got pregnant and blossomed up to 190. After their birth I was around 160 but never seemed to lose it all. I also got a majority of my stretchmarks from this pregnancy. Then in 1991 and 1993, I gave birth to my other two children and gained weight around the 190 area again. Both children were around 7 lb 10 oz and 20 in long.

In March 2012, I was not feeling well and went to the doctor. I weighed the 2nd heaviest in my life 234. The doctor did blood work and it came back borderline diabetic and a thyroid issue. The doctor put me on a strict diet, exercise, Levothyroxin (thyroid) and Adepix (diet pill). I went back to the doctor monthly for weight and health check for the first three months. I had lost 25 pounds and he took me off Adepix which he said the maximum he would prescribe it was for 90 days. The next four months I lost another 25 pounds which I feel is great but during the entire time I had also discovered I was not happy in my marriage and was a compulsive emotional eater. During this time I had decided sadly to end my marriage because it was to destructive too me. We had traveled different paths for so long that I knew that it was too far gone to try to salvage.

At the end of September I decided that I was going to get my long dream of a TT. I had several consults and on Oct. 2nd, I picked my doctor because he was so kind and spent an enormous time just sitting and talking with me.

My poor tummy looks like a wrinkled Shar-Pei dog and I am so embarrassed to join a gym because my tummy flaps if I try to run. Then when I proudly slide on my size 12 I still have to wear a big shirt because my muffin top wants to peek out from the top. So in the end I know what I want and that is to get a procedure that will remove the stretched skin, tighten my abdominal wall and get my belly button fixed. I know that I will not be able to get it back to shape unless I have this surgery. Also I have the Grand Canyon belly button, it is so deep I can almost stick my whole index finger in there!

My surgery is Oct. 25th and I am so excited.....
