Hello everyone,
I am a 29 year old single parent of a 10 year old son. I gained 70 pounds during pregnancy, I was as big as a house lol. Now I am down to 155 lbs and I am ready to get this extra skin and fat off. I have been thinking about getting this done for some time now and I think I am ready to make it happen.
Since I set the date, I have not been able to sleep well. I find myself tossing and turning all night. I'm sure my nerves are getting the best of me. I be on this site reading reviews at 1 am because I can not sleep. I have been thinking about canceling the appointment but then I look at myself in the mirror and decide not to. I don't fear the pain at all, I fear that something will go wrong. I have a son and I am really all he has. I know the chances are slim and I also know when its my time its my time. However its still a fear!
Tomorrow is my pre op appointment, so I will post again tomorrow.

I had my pre op today and everything was perfect. I took my list of questions and Dr. Rai answered everything. I received my prescription which contained antibiotics, nausea medicine, and pain meds. The pain meds is not in pill form, you inhale it through your nostril. My surgery date is the 17th of October. I am still nervous as heck, hopefully I can sleep tonight. Wish me luck!!!

I'm going to have talk to my surgeon. She can give me a pill, pain Meds in liquid form since I had the gastric bypass or I will even give myself shot which I hate needles!! But I'm NOT inhaling anything up my nose!!! Not going to happen! I'm having a

Sorry I'm have apron surgery also called a panni and Breast lift/ reduction. I go back on the 12th for then to send it for approval to the insurance company. She said I was a perfect candidate for it since I have lost 244lbs but would not do it or send for approval until I was not exposed to second hand smoke for three months. I have done that so everyone thing is good to go. I have so many questions to ask her and this is one I will be asking. I don't like taking pain meds anyway and did not take any with my gastric bypass except for the first day. Then the sent me home with this thing that was taped to my stomach that had some kind of wire going into my body that was dispensing meds for 24 hours after that and pulled it out which me and my husband both about fainted because it freaked us both out that was going into my body. But after that I was not in any real pain that I could not bare. I hear this less painful. But I'm still wondering if mine will be more since they are doing my Breast, panni and removing extra skin from my pubic area which she said is the hardest place to heal and have to be very careful that I don't tear myself open like I did with my hysterectomy in the same place. Of what I read they will cover a tummy tuck if there is a hernia there. And what I was told by my PCP that it was so that is another question I have to ask her. I also read that I will need help up and down for at least a week but won't be back to normal until at least 5 weeks maybe longer with the pubic area being the hardest place to heal. We have 14 goats and have someone to help feed them on the days that my husband works because when feeding them they like to push and shove and you kinda get in the way sometimes. I can't take the chance of ripping myself open. That is why it has taken me so long to finally have it done because we did not know anyone that would be able to help because we was new to the area. I have been waiting three years almost. It has been 4 1/2 years since I lost 200 but have lost the other 44 since February of last year. I got to 200 and hit a Plateau. I'm sooooo ready!
