Dr. Trovato is literally a life changing doctor. Over the last few years I have lost 200 lbs. following weight loss surgery. I had an excessive amount of stomach flab than hung below my pubic area. My legs had curtains hanging down them from my groin to below my knees. I had ugly skin hanging from my arms. At age 52, Dr. Trovato gave me my life back, actually a life I have never known. Now I am scheduled to have a breast lift and augmentation completed on 06/18/15. Dr. Trovato and his staff are very caring. They always take whatever time I need, to listen to me and answer any questions I may have. I had completed 3 earlier consultations with other surgeons for the tummy tuck. None of the other surgeons would even listed to me when I asked about the arm and thigh lift. I knew as big as my stomach and thighs were that if I did not take care of both at the same time, clothes still would not fit right. Why have a small waist when your legs are huge and you still can't get into smaller sizes???? When I called Dr. Trovato's office to ask about a consultation I spoke to Sandy. She was so very sweet and informative. She had an answer to every question, did not rush through the conversation and made me feel welcomed from the start. I was fairly certain that I would be using Dr. Trovato based solely on my conversation with Sandy. Once I met Dr. Trovato, I was HOOKED! This man is younger than I expected but wiser than his years. He is so VERY kind, knowledgeable, and sincere. He took the necessary time with me on that first consult to answer ALL my questions, provided suggestions on why I did or did not need a particular procedure and made me feel VERY confident in his abilities, knowledge, and skills. He never made me feel silly about any question I asked, and believe me, I had a few whoppers. We started the insurance process immediately. There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted Dr. Trovato to take care of me. Sandy handled all of the insurance paperwork and let me know immediately when everything was approved. Surgery was scheduled for Nov. 19, 2014. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Trovato came in and we discussed what he was going to do. It was to be a very long surgery, 8 hours. Dr. Trovato did the tummy tuck, arm and thigh lift and was assisted by Dr. Thomas Roshek (with the Nicholson Clinic) who also repaired a hernia that I've had for 26 years (that's another story). Dr. Trovato did the "mark up" on me and set my nerves at ease. He checked on me the first thing the next morning in the hospital as I stayed there for 3 days. I received excellent care while in the hospital and Dr. Trovato checked on me both days. I returned to his office for my post op visit at one week. Throughout the next several months I saw Dr. Trovato and his office staff several times. Each time was as pleasant as the first. Amy and Sarah are his nurses/medical assistants. They were always helpful, answered my questions, held my hand when I had an emotional crisis, and really saw me through the entire recovery. I did have some medical setbacks which required additional care and eventually 2 more surgeries. This was due to my own body's healing problems and my nutrition issues. Dr. Trovato tried his best to resolve the problems without further surgeries but eventually we had to go back into the OR. Each time, Dr. Trovato would talk with me, explain everything, and ease any fears or doubts that I was having. I am very happy to say that the complications have resolved and I'm healing beautifully. I appreciate the time, care, and attention he spent on me. I am now about to have my breast lifted and implants inserted. I am so excited. I met with Sarah yesterday. She explained all the breast procedure to me and helped me with deciding on what size I want to have implanted. Dr. Trovato takes what God gave to me, corrects the damages I have done with a life time of obesity and 2 children, and is sculpting me a body that I've only dreamed of. I'm not a Victoria Secret's model but I never planned to be one. I LOVE the changes, I have more confidence in myself and I just feel better all over. Throughout all of this, Dr. Trovato and his staff have been here for me. I can't think of any other time I have had this much support and care from any physician. Dr. Trovato is a caring and humble man. He loves what he does and is a bit OCD about it because he wants the best possible outcome for his patients. He takes great pride in his work and his treatment of his patients. I can never thank him enough. At 52, I've finally got a body that I am not ashamed of. I don't hide when the cameras come out and I don't try to stand behind others when in front of a group of people. I am no longer ashamed to be seen by people. I work with the public and this has made a huge difference in my attitude all the way around. When I started this journey of trying to fix my saggy and hanging skin, I prayed that God would direct me to the right surgeon who had the skills and the knowledge to take excellent care of me. God did exactly that. He BLESSED me and directed me to Dr. Trovato, who made all of this possible. I am FOREVER grateful for Dr. Trovato and his staff.
