Super happy ....I do not usually write reviews...
Super happy ....I do not usually write reviews however this one needed to be written.
December 20, I had surgery by Dr. Rohrich after I had thoroughly done my research. I strongly advise everyone to do this and make sure you are going to a board certified plastic surgeon since this is the only life you have you want to make sure it is in good hands.
From my initial consultation with Dr. Rohrich it was easy to see the passion he has for his craft. Having been in this business myself for many years I came with a lot of background and knowledge about this industry. Dr. Rohrich took the time to listen to my concerns, never interjecting or interrupting with what he thought I needed to move the conversation along. Once I finished he responded and explained everything I said, making sure he understood my concerns and then suggested options for me to achieve my goals.
Once I was comfortable we scheduled my surgery. The follow up and communication from his staff was second to none. Customer service is clearly a top priority for the whole team. Dr. Rohrich recommends Vitamins, which Patients can get from his Office or buy themselves (nobody pushes here) to help with swelling and bruising. I was skeptical as I never take anything I do not have to, so taking all these vitamins was not easy for me, but heck I thought let’s try since I am very prone to bruising to begin with.
On the day of my surgery his Anesthesiologist, Dr. Tim Valek came in and was so professional. He explained everything to me in detail, had a great sense of humor, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I wish people could clone him! Any patient who has had any type of anxiety going under Anesthesia would be at peace with him, I guarantee you.
Next came Dr. Rohrich and he also went through everything he was going to be doing. I have never met a warmer surgeon and I was 100% comfortable with him.
The OR nurses as well as the pre-op and post-op nurses are beyond pleasant and professional. (Sorry I don’t know everyone’s name)
After Surgery I spent a night in the recovery hotel (again super great staff).
When I woke up I felt no pain, discomfort, or anything. I had told myself going into this I would not look in the mirror for a while, especially right after surgery. The procedure I did was on my nose, lower face, and neck so since I had a history of bruising I was not desiring to see myself right away. Needless to say, curiosity got the better of me and I had to look. I was amazed, I could open my eyes with no problem and could not see any bruising on day 1. I was a bit swollen which I knew was normal, but I expected more than I had, and I was looking for bruising. I even went out walking in the hallway the same afternoon when Dr. Rohrich came to see me.
Day two I had a bit of bruising under my eyes but so minor I was just amazed. My surgery was on a Wednesday and Friday I went back for Post up visit two days later. Dr. Rohrich took out my drains (that was a relief) and I felt like I was in Heaven as one of the Nurses, Diane shampooed my hair and got all the dried blood out. This lady was so careful and gentle as she took her time avoiding my stiches, staples that still remained, so I did not feel any discomfort.
On my next post-up visit Letty (the Dr.’s Nurse) took out some of my staples and Dr. Rohrich seemed pleased with the results. He was pleased? heck the one that was pleased was me. I could finally breath and he did not change the shape of my nose, he just rebuilt it as we discussed. He clearly understands aesthetically what goes with someone’s face.
All the follow visits went great. I would like to thank Joni, his patient coordinator and Angela, his Office Manager. Both of these ladies are caring, down-to-earth professionals that truly enjoy helping people. Letty his nurse has such a sweet disposition and is very gentle when removing stiches.
Going back to the Vitamins…. clearly, they helped with the swelling and bruising since I had hardly any. I cannot recommend strongly enough, when Dr. Rohrich suggest you take them, listen. Remember this is coming from a sceptic.
In addition, I would really like to say the following:
Please, please, please listen to the Doctor and his staff regarding ANY and EVERY pre-op and post-up instruction so you can have the best outcome. I missed my glass of red wine, but my outcome was more important to me.
Do your research! ONLY go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and even then, ask questions, look at photos of previous results and make sure you feel comfortable. Just because someone is a board certified it does not always make them a great surgeon just a trained surgeon. Since I know this business well and had access to the best, I choose Dr. Rohrich. I consider him one of the best in the world at his craft. There are good surgeons and even great surgeons, but I would put Dr. Rohrich under the Exceptional Surgeon Category. Very humble, warm and he has such a passion for what he does.
It’s now week 5 for me and my friends can’t tell I had anything done (that is the way it should be), but they always say I look great. When I point to my nose specifically then they say it was much flatter before and thanks to Dr. Rohrich (and I was a very complicated case) it looks great, and I can now sleep and breath like I am supposed to.
I must say a “BIG THANKS” again to him and all his staff…
Thank you.
