My experience with pixel was great. I have NY second treatment this week. The facility I went to came very highly recommended. The technician applied a numbing cream all over my face and allowed it to sit for an hour. The treatment itself lasted only 15 or so minutes. Parts of it u could not feel at all, others definitely were (very!) uncomfortable. I left expecting to feel like I had an extremely sunburnt face, and that was probably a pretty good description of it. In the car I had the AC on full blast with all vents pointed at my face. This made the drive much more bearable than ice packs. (I also had been slathered in aquafor post treatment). For three days I immersed my face in a mixing bowl of 'ice' water every 30 min to an hour. I really think that helped speed recovery tremendously! Face was super super red!! Some brownish/darker spots as well. The technician assured me that if I 'aggressively ice-bathed' my face that I should be able to expect the redness to significantly subside in about three days. Initially I thought there was no way that would happen. (Plan on not wanting to be seen for at least the first two days!) Sure enough however, by the end of the third day I was able to put on a little makeup and go out for dinner. I knew almost immediately that u would be glad I did the treatment. On around day 7ish after the treatment, I had a little tickle on my check and when I 'scratched' it noticed a marked difference in the way my skin felt. Hard to describe, but perhaps healthier, juicer, or even more supple. Something definitely more 'youthful'. Over all I would give the pain/discomfort/hassle part a 7 out of 10. On the worth it part, a solid 15 out of 10! I will be 39 years old tomorrow, and although I am naturally pretty gifted in the youthful department, this treatment easily took off several years! I wouldn't want to do it every week, but after this second treatment I am willing to bet I will keep getting one every 8 months to a year if they let me. I even feel as if the increased collagen production has caused my lips to look fuller! (I have never had lip fillers and was planning on doing that soon) I wish I had taken pics before, but the ones I am adding are from today. Again, I will be 39 tomorrow and feel I could easily pass for much younger than that!! Go to a good clinic, read/look at reviews, choose an experienced tech, and you should be able to expect the stellar results I've experienced! (Side note, I do intend to invest in a small pool snorkel for future face ice-bathing. I would suggest you talk to your technician and possibly consider the same).
