I loved Dr. Genecov and his staff. My implants were huge!!! I also had an abdominoplasty and my muscles cut and tightened. I walked in the office for my post op and he sees my tummy and asked, "What the hell happened?" I had no idea what he was talking about. His assistant shushed him. He drained fluid off my tummy and never took my after pictures. I was not happy with my new change. My fiancé left me after 2 weeks. He obviously didn't like it. I pulled a blue stitch out of my tummy a year after my procedure. I want to know to this day what the hell happened. I asked them for referrals from patients and I think the one lady that called me was lying about having a procedure. Also they did not take my after pictures so Dr. Genecov wasn't happy with it either but never said anything else about it. That was a lot of money. I also did not know saline implants would only last a little while or I would have gone with silicone. I WILL ADD PICTURES SOON.

Sounds like you had a seroma in your tummy...the collection of fluid...often caused by overactivity or activity too soon. Not supposed to lift more than 5 lbs or bend or stretch or twist for 6 weeks after surgery. Also, spitting stitches for a year or two after surgery is not uncommon. Much of what you described would not be the surgeon's fault....

Also, saline implants last as long as silicone....

Thanks for sharing your story on RealSelf! Neither saline implants and silicone implants are "forever" devices and both should last about the same amount of time. So, you really liked your doctor/staff until after the procedure? (slightly confused about this point)

I did not do anything for 6 weeks. I had enormous swelling. I'm not sure why?

Dr. Genecov performed my surgery as well as a friend and both experienced the same type of situation. On the day of my friends surgery, a colleague walked in to perform her breast augmentation while he performed the other. She had never met with this dr regarding her concerns and expectations after surgery, she was not pleased, he had nothing to say. Beside manner is rushed, like you are just a number. I would not suggest or recommend him to anyone.

Another strange review. If you had a bad procedure why would your friend have a procedure done by him was well?

This seems a little strange to me. If fiancé left 2 weeks after surgery you wouldn't have even been fully recovered. There is no way at that time frame you would even know what the final outcome would be. I think if he really left because he didn't like the outcome. It also seems a little strange that if you didn't get the referrals you wanted that you would have gone through with the procedure. Something just doesn't seem to add up here. something about this just doesn't add up to me.

Correction: Don't think at 2 weeks surgery outcome had anything to do with him leaving. If it did your better off.

Dr Genecov is the best doctor out there! I think i went back to work too early.
