Almost four weeks post op. Aside from being pretty tired if I am running around all day, I feel really good. My scars are thin and low, and my breast have softened up. I still swell in the afternoons but it isn't that bad. I am just returning from a four day business trip and I had no issues what so ever.

Back to work
Today is my first day back to work. My coworkers are all impressed with how small my waist is! That's excellent feedback since I've nearly always had a spare tire. I'm about 90% upright at this point, no drains, no pain, no saggy boobs and a washboard tummy!

I'm really swollen at the end of the day. Other than that I'm only puffy around the incision. Don't be scared, it will be much easier than you expect!

Follow up
I saw dr pin today for my first follow up appointment. Everything went well. He removed one drain and I'll return Friday to have the second one pulled. My tummy was a little red so I'll be on antibiotics for a bit. I'm still walking slouched over but I am going to start actively working on getting upright. I have zero pain with the exception of tightness and burning inside along the suture line where the muscle was repaired. That's only at night when I'm tired and first thing in the morning when the pain meds have worn off. My boobs look fabulous!

The hospital was great. The staff was very attentive and the floor they reserve for plastics is much nicer than the rest of the hospital. To be honest, I was so out of it on pain meds I barely remember the hospital other than my mother , who stayed the night with me, said it was great. My surgery was just over four hours long.

Have you finished your antibiotics. Are you still having that burning sensation. Do you have any regrets!! Any pointers or any advice you would give me going into this.

I have no regrets. Honestly, this has been a very easy process. Thank goodness dr pin uses experel after surgery. You literally don't feel any ab pain. I had an allergy attack this morning and was sneezing my head off. Normally that woud cause me to hurt pretty bad but today no big deal. Make sure you have help. My mom stayed with me the first four days. I needed help with bathing and making food.

thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my annoying questions. I dont understand why I am so nervous but I just think I want this so bad and cant believe its about to happen. Are there any special supplies you bought or you regret not buying that could of made things easier.

I bought a rail for my bed, I still use it to get out of it every morning. I also bought a toilet seat riser. I'm glad I had that as well. You will need a second binder and surgical bra. The ones they send you home in get dirty fast. You will be glad to have a clean set to change into. I did not get a recliner. I bought an anti gravity outdoor chair and moved between that and my bed. Here's a tip- when getting into bed after surgery, face the bed, crawl in and turn to sit then lay back. Going in butt first then lifting your legs in is far more painful. That was a trick my mom taught me ;).
