Had a facelift in 2012 and it looked amazing for about 15 months, then a very prominent bulge appeared on the left side of my face. Went back to my PS and asked him to " only tighten up the are where the bulge was." He wanted to do a buccal fat pad reduction. After much research I told him I didn't want a buccal fat pad reduction and I didn't want any fat removed. Only the area tightened where the bulge was. He agreed. He said there would be no preop bloodwork necessary. On February 2014 I went back to have the area "tightened up." I was put to sleep using IV sedation and when I woke up he said " you had a great deal of subcutaneous fat in your lower face so I removed it, so I think you will like this sculpted look." The nightmare started! Very asymmetrical, gaunt, face. The pictures will tell the story. I asked for my money back and he refused!!

Dr warren Katz ruined my Face

Katz took large amount of subcutaneous fat out of my face and now my skin is very loose and sagging!

I am so confused as to why that large bump appeared on your face so long after the procedure. That is scary. What is even scarier is the "sculpted look" he gave you. You are still beautiful and I hope you are able to find a competent PS to fix this.

I see the small dent but that should be easliy fixed with a fat graft. Also the removal of the fat from the lower face might look good with a revisionary facelift. Dr. Stuzin in Florida does revision facelifts. There are other I could recommend if you are interested. I agree with the other poster you are still beautiful! Hugs.

I am having a revision this month. I am very nervous, but it's something I need to do for myself, because my face just continues to deteriorate due to the excessive defatting Katz did.

I pray everything goes well for you with more satisfactory results from your revision. You are a beautiful woman and it just breaks my heart that this happened to you...and after you told him NOT to take the fat out!! I'll be rooting for you and also following along to see your new results.

Please rate this doctor and warn others. He has a 5 star rating on Real Self but your results are anything but 5 stars. I hope you find a qualified doctor to do a revision.

I am so sorry you've had this experience. I have seen several other ladies on Real Self who've also had buccal fat extractions that went poorly. One who subsequently had a revision was really pleased with the results. I'll be praying that your outcome is wonderful - you deserve it after all you've been through. And judging by your photos, you are already lovely!
