64 Year Old with Saggy Eyelids - Dallas, TX

WORTH IT$2,500
I had my upper lids done at the same time as I had my full facelift with Dr. Standerfer. The main reason I went to see him was to talk about my sagging neck, which I have had my whole life. I asked him what else he might suggest to make me not look over 60. He told me that most people notice other's eyes first. I knew my upper lids were beginning to sag and I also knew I seemed to have dark circles under my eyes. Dr. Standerfer suggested that I also have those small fat pads (that is why they look like dark circles, it is just fat) removed. After reading many reviews on all of these procedures and looking at many before and after pics, I decided to just have my upper lids done during my facelift surgery. I should have done the lowers at the same time...but maybe another time. It has only been slightly over 2 months and I am very pleased. I did not have any real trouble with my eyes (stitches bothering me, dry eyes, or such). I did develop some very small bumps in the corner of my right eye where the stitch was started and placed under the skin there. Dr. Standerfer has given me 2 shots of steroids into those bumps (it did not hurt at all) to help dissolve them and they are now really hardly noticeable to me, and not really to anyone else anyway. I will say my eyes are taking the longest to recover after that part of my surgery. My neck is 1,000 times better than before! I will say it was very worthwhile to have these things done. Why did I wait so long?

Was the $2500 just for the upper eyelids? You look great by the way!

Yes, the price was $2,500, but I did get a $500 discount. I also got a discount on the facelift. thanks for your compliment.

The Fresh Image Cosmetic Center will work with you on financing or pricing if you add multiple surgeries. I imagine most doctors would do the same.

You are stunning!

Did you have any resurfacing done under your eyes? You do look fabulous in your after shots.
August 28, 2016
No, I am not even sure what that would be. But after looking at photos made after my surgery, I think I probably should have done the lower eyes, too. I have some fat under them, but after reading reviews I was afraid to have them done because I did not want to deal with any potential issues some people have when doing the lower eyes.

Thank you for the compliment though!

Just thought I would post some better pictures of before and after. The before picture was made in August 2015 and the After picture was made August 27, 2016, which has been 10 weeks after my surgeries. I am totally pleased with the results!!!

Hi, I've just read your review and wanted to say congratulations because you have a super result and you bruising didn't seem to last long at all. I'm afraid I 'liked' both your before and after photos, simply because you have a lovely face anyway, but now you have a YOUNGER lovely face! I got both upper and lowers done (with a neck lift), but it's my uppers I'm not so sure about; they were only really done to 'match' when I had lowers done but I think a bit of fat removal has slightly changed my eye shape. It's not bad, just an unwanted change really. Overall I'm very happy - isn't it just something else to have a decent chin again? Enjoy your lovely result and thanks for posting.

P.s. I still have black undereye bruising at 5 weeks, especially in mornings. Think it's due to fat repositioning, but can be covered up with make up since 4 weeks, phew!

Thanks for your lovely comments. I am just about 2 months ahead of you, but you are looking great. We are our hardest reviewers of ourselves, aren't we? You think your eyes may be slightly different and my husband thinks my smile is now different. I just keep saying it has only been a bit over 2 months. Give me another 4 months to see what the final outcome will be. But all in all, I think we are looking fantastic! So happy we both had wonderful results. Good luck to you as you keep healing!

Yes, it's hard - we accept that it'll take a prolonged recovery but then there's all those friends and family to convince! Mentioning that we look 'different' (when let's face it, we'd all rather hear the word 'nice') along the healing road is a downer! I just know that from what I had before, even if it's different, it's 100 times better!!

www.freshimagecenter.com Dr. John Standerfer Right off of I-635 on the same side of the highway as the Galleria. He is double board certified in plastic surgery and only does faces. He is a very nice man, easy to talk to. I saw him on Good Morning Texas and looked at pics on his website before going for my free consultation. I waited for years for my neck to be gone and while waiting, my eyes needed some work, too. I am so pleased with the results!

Dallas, Dr. John Standefer owns Fresh Image Cosmetic Center off of N Dallas Toll Road. He is a wonderful doctor, so nice and comforting, I looked totally scary with my red, swollen eyes, but it all worked out fantastic!
