I'm 48 and hating my thighs with all the dimples...

I'm 48 and hating my thighs with all the dimples and grooves. I'm going to Cancun in October so.....yes, I want to look nice! Groupon offered a reduction in price and after researching, I chose Endermologie. I had my first appointment and all I did was fill out a sheet of my "problem" areas and then the tech took me into a small suite and wanted to examine my legs. She said yes, that she could work on it and did warn me that it usually takes about 8 to 9 treatments to see good results. I bought a package of 5. She then tells me to take my clothes off except bra and put on this thin, thin body suit. It's so that the vacuum can suck up on my skin (pulling fat cells closer to the surface) and the roller with bumps on will roll over the areas being treated. Imagine someone rolling a rolling pin with hard bumps on it over your body. I laid on my back first and she starts with my left front thigh first. Rolling up and down, up and down for about 2 minutes. She then tells me to position my leg in a different position to get to the inner part of my thigh and does it for about 2 minutes. She does the same thing on my other leg. I then turn over and she does the back side and up along my hips. Now, I'll be honest, it did hurt somewhat. I usually have a pretty good pain tolerance but over and over on one spot does tend to get uncomfortable. She noticed at one point my facial expression and asked if it was hurting and that she could turn it down some. Duh?? I didn't know that was an option. LoL She said that I will be tender as if I had worked out for the first time. If I find it really painful then, to soak in Epson salt at night. It doesn't hurt that much but I do notice tenderness. The tenderness feels like getting a shot of antibiotic in the hip from the nurse, that "soreness". I've had two treatments and nothing yet of course. But would love to see good results after my last one since I will not be able to keep it up. I will post pictures of before and after.

Why would you expect a visible change after just one treatment when they sell it as a course of at least 8?

Three Treatments So Far
kempalayneSeptember 2, 2015
I've had three treatments so far. They really wanted me to go twice a week if not more because she said, "it works fast"??? I was able to go twice last week but this week I will go this Friday only and then my last one will be sometime next week. Honestly, I dread going because it hurts. It's only for 15 minutes but the constant "kneading" over and over in the same place for a few minutes tends to hurt after awhile. The tech is real nice but I don't know if this is going to be worth it.

Does the kneading in one area cause any broken veins at all? I hope you see results.

The tech warned me of bruising showing but that it was rare. However, I had two places that showed small bruises. I had overall tenderness but went away after about three days.

Hi,
I finished the 5 treatments and saw very tiny results. (Change in dimples around my legs) (not better, just different). I do believe it would have been worth it if I could have afford to continue with the treatments but the cost was $35 per treatment. I got a really good deal, $100 for 5. They offer packages but it is high. I looked at the machine on my last treatment when the tech was gone and to my surprise, the "bumpy" feeling that I experienced was actually my own legs!!! The roller on the machine is flat and smooth. So, it was the actual pockets of cellulite that I was feeling. The last treatment was done by a different tech and I noticed she did it differently. She was more precise and her method routine would have made more sense in the treatment. Wish I had her instead. She wasn't more experienced than the other tech but understood the areas of my concerns better and treated accordingly. She positioned me better to reach the area of cellulite on my hips and buttock area. The other tech just turned me over on my back or stomach. It still hurts like the dickens' but I believe it could have worked if I stayed with it.

Results depend on the knowledge and abilities of the technician. First and foremost it shouldn't hurt. If the body goes into a pain response which is an increase of fluid, and white blood cells to protect the area then it cannot go into lipolysis, which is the release of fatty acids and toxins. I would change locations.

Agreed! The tech must be certified and experienced not some girl trained by another girl school at L PG is vital. Then your results will be great

Endermology ruined my skin, becarful pls

Your skin should be beautiful not ruined. Your tech must be certified by L PG, the company that makes the machines You can check with them in Miami to make sure your tech went to school. Very important!

I hope you see results. I gave it a really good shot with twice a week for 2 months and see no difference. :(
Thanks for starting a review, and for sharing in detail how the treatment process went. Definitely keep us posted on the rest of your sessions and if you start to notice any changes. Looking forward to your pics!
